A few weeks ago I had an email and a letter in the mail that I won a contest that I entered online from Party City:

Honestly I didn't even realize the grand prize when entering it because I NEVER thought in a million years that I would win.....but I did!

I'm working with the marketing company for a substitution of the grand prize and might even get a cash prize! Party City has agreed and now I'm waiting to hear from Disney by 12/2. This was the email that I received today: Disney will not be able to get back to me until after 12/2. They are supportive of your request they just need to confirm up the food chain. Large company issues. Stay tuned and enjoy the balance of the week.

I see a holiday vacation to Disney in our future. I made sure to let them know that if they granted a cash prize to us we would certainly return it to Disney in the form of a vacation! We are booked for August 2010 at CSR but I'd love to add a 2010 Christmas trip too!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed at this point!

Thank you! I've been entering contests for a while hoping to win a trip. This is the closest I've ever come.

Thanks everyone. I'm really excited and I've never won a prize like this before. The original prize was for a Disney Princess Royal Ball and I only have a son and that is why they are willing to work with us for an alternate prize. I was willing to host the Princess Ball and have my son in a white tux as the Prince...he would actually love to host a party for all girls! I asked if they would be willing to substitute a prize and they are trying to accomodate! I'm thrilled!

I finally heard back from Disney. They have offered us three options.....
1. Continue with the Princess Party
2. A Cars themed party
3. A Toy Story themed party

We chose Toy Story since the new movie is coming out in June.
More details to follow in January when Disney decides what will be included in the package! I cannot wait!

I guess it is worth it to enter contest. I quit because I never win anything. Maybe I never win because I quit entering.....food for thought....
