Oddly enough, I haven't seen any official announcement of this from Diz itself, just the Hollywood Reporter et al who seem to be spreading it. Interesting enough, none of them credit this "news" as coming from Disney either.

Fantasyland's Peter Pan attraction is set for a queue expansion, and the former Skyway Station in Fantasyland will become new restrooms for the area. How are the two linked? Well the restrooms that are currently next to Peter Pan will become the extended portion of queue, and the new restrooms built in the Skyway Station will then fulfill the restroom requirements for that portion of the park. Permits are already filed for parts of this, so work should be underway relatively soon.

That is good to know. Peter Pan definitely needs a longer queue! I wonder if it will be interactive ala Pooh?

I do not take credit for these.

Help me out, Mad Eye. What's the big building all by itself in the middle of the green? That will help me orient.

It's the old skyway terminal in Fantasyland.

The building along the leftside in the first photo is Haunted Mansion, and it looks like they plan to open up a second walkway area to it where there's currently that bottleneck between Liberty Square/HM and Fantasyland.

Ah, I see it. So the red at the bottom is Peter pan and the little building in the middle is the carousel?

 Oh, now I get it. The red is the covered queue area in front of HM. I'm oriented. :hm_ghost:

I love seeing aerial views ~ it is always surprising to me how big the attraction buildings are behind their facades

I'm bumed-out that the Fantasyland skyway building will be used as bathrooms or torn down. I've always thought it one of the most beautiful structures in the park. It also looks like there is space back there. I've always hoped due to its style that one day Disney would take the Fantasyland Skyway building, enlarge it and transform it into the beautiful Pinocchio darkride that they have in Disneyland.

Hmm interesting. From what I am getting out of this, there will be just a lot of open walking space in the area between Peter Pan and HM. Don't know if I am a fan of giving that much space to nothing. Disney definitely could have done something more with the Skyway building.

Yankee Trader. I think that's its name.

It would have to be a very small and very short ride as there is only 57 feet between Haunted Mansion and small world. Most dark ride show buildings are over 100 feet long and over 200 feet wide like the case of Haunted Mansion and small world.

I'm a little late joining this discussion (over 50 pages?!), but I just don't understand the Fantasyland Expansion. I really enjoyed Toontown Fair and think the character houses will be missed. It wasn't terrible like California Adventure, and the new plans don't seem nearly so exciting (certainly nothing to compete with Mr. Potter next door...). If they wanted to make the Florida parks more exciting, how about taking a crack at MGM or even Future World?
