I love the new Pooh queue! The theming is great & makes me really hopeful for the "new" fantasyland. Little things like the fencing they used (that looks just like Rabbit's fence) are what we all love disney for.
As for the parents vs. kids queue, we went through the queue w/ all of the fun new things, so I guess we went through the kids queue? I think the little things are fun for all ages! The cm's did not try to separate the queues, so I don't know about that.
The honey walls, yeah I thought of the germs too, but it didnt' stop be from painting in the honey. I just washed my hands after the ride.

Also, the teacups are open again w/ a new roof, no paint smell, no other changes apart from the new roof.

Just a thought about the germs....They don't wash the seat belts or safety bars between each ride, so you are getting your germs one way or the other. Bring that sanitizer!!

I would say if you are worried about germs you should just stay home. :) I love the new pooh que too and hope they put other themed que's out there for rides that dont have them,,, sometimes half the fun is standing in line.

BIG UPDATE: Mickey's Toon Town Fair will close in February next year.

That is a big update. I'm glad we said our goodbyes to it last summer. Even though WDW's TT isn't half of what DL's is, I'll still miss it.

Oh. Before anyone asks, the train will still be running but the station will be closed as well.

That is a HUGE update and I am happy to hear that. This could be a positive sign of the all-out expansion. The plans may have changed, but at least the changes are going to happen.

here's some additional info via wdwinfo (if any of the item's interest anyone):

Mickey's Toontown Fair closing for construction of new area 2/12/2011- no end date.
◦Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and the Disney Princesses will move to Town Square in Spring 2011. Locations will be published later.
◦Tinker Bell will go to Disney's Hollywood Studios. The other fairies will appear later in the spring at Epcot.
◦The Walt Disney Railroad will remain open but the Toontown station will be closed during construction.
◦The face painting area will close in Toontown. The other theme parks will offer face painting.

I'm not surprised Toontown will be closing soon...I thought they would wait until after the holidays in January, but February is not that far off.

It seems about two or three weeks later than I would have thought. Colleges are off until mid Jan. so I would have expected at least the end of Jan.

Maybe they're waiting until they finish the Splash refurb - pull the workers from Splash over to TT?

I don't think the two construction companies that Disney hired for the expansion are the same ones who do the Splash refurb.

Not sure if anyone has already asked this (if so, apologize in advance), but does anyone know the dates during which each section of MK will close or be under refurb? Are the refurbs being staggered or will multiple sections be under refurb at the same time? Thanks!

Only section of the park that is getting major work done is Fantasyland and it isn't forcing any closures of rides there at all (Dumbo is rumored to move but after it is already built in it's new area). The only area of the park that will close is Mickey's Toon Town Fair in February as stated earlier in the thread.

If they're still planning two "dueling" Dumbos (does anyone know if this has been changed in the unannounced revisions?), they probably will install the new one in the new location, open the Fantasyland Expansion, and then close and move the current Dumbo then. That way, there would always be one operating Dumbo until they get both up and running.
