Casual cocktail evening

We've been thinking about embracing our inner adult this trip, as opposed to the inner child that drives this party of three down south every year. We realized how much we enjoyed relaxing at the lounge at the Contemporary many years ago, before Chef Mickey and his horde squeezed the area small.

So we're planning on spending one evening trying a few cocktails somewhere, as opposed to going into a park. I know everyone has their favorites, and the styles and moods of each bar can vary greatly. Can anyone share their ideas and/or impressions? Many thanks!

Go to the Sports Zone!! It's my favorite!! You could just have a drink at a few places on the Board Walk. It could be lot of fun!

Does Jellyrolls at Boardwalk have cocktails? I haven't been in a while and don't remember.

Last I knew Jellyrolls does serve adult beverages. But if you're looking for few to unwind with and have some conversation, Jellyrolls is not your place.

While not all that big, the Tambu Lounge at the Polynesian is nice. Offers a variety of tropical drinks as well as your run of the mill cocktails.

DH and I love going to the bar at the Poly, it's right by Ohana's! We had a few cocktails on our last visit and enjoyed the ambiance. The Poly lobby area is gorgeous!

I don't think I have an inner adult.

But the bar at Crockett's Tavern in Fort Wilderness is lively and a noisy fun place to watch at game...and the lounge at Port Orleans Riverside is fun, with a piano player most nights, but not all.

Two Downtown Disney favorites for Min and I include:

1. Raglan Road
2. Sosa's (if you don't mind the cigar smoke).

We also like the bar by O'hanas for a break in the day. They have the pineapple drink that was really good.

I've heard Kimonos is fun if you're into the karaoke thing. The Wave has a bunch of weird cocktails doesn't it? I haven't been there since it opened but it seemed like a loungy type place.

I'm a sucker for a sweet ice creamy drink! Not sure where to go for that a WDW but I'm sure there is someplace nice!

Wow, my top choices have already been mentioned. A walk around the Boardwalk at dusk/night is really nice and then can head over to grab a drink at the Yachtclub or a sweet treat at Beaches n Cream. The Tambu lounge is my second favorite at the Poly. Raglan Road is great with all the little porches they have around the building. I haven't been over to Scat Cats yet but hear it's a nice break away from all the crowds too.

I heard that a new tequila bar has opened in the Mexico pavilion at Epcot - that would be a nice evening, but it's only open til 10.

The "nightlife" on my list for my trip next week is Jellyrolls, Tambu Lounge and Rix Lounge - maybe you guys could go to one of those places.

The Victoria Falls bar at Animal Kingdom Lodge is also very nice & has a great ambiance.

Dude, these sound awesome. We were thinking about Victoria Falls and Tambu Lounge, then we read about the martinis available at Beach Club and got excited. Thanks for all the suggestions - now we have to make a decision!
