Has anyone done the Segway at Ft. Wilderness? I can't remember what it's called but I was wondering if it's worth doing when I go. I've done the Segway Around the World at Epcot and that's really fun. I'm not sure I'm up for the "offroading" in the Fort.

Do those Segways have motors?
I've seen them go past in Epcot and they look like fun, but I don't see any steering or exhaust...how do you turn them on? Can anyone do them or do you need to be "coordinated?"

We've done the segways in EPCOT twice and loved it! We said on our next trip, we wanted to try the segways at Wilderness, they look really cool!

Anyone can do these! They go through an instructional class with you and make sure everyone is comfortable before you head out. These are a blast and I highly recommend this tour!!! :)

They're electric powered, and have several gyroscopic stabilizers in the base, under where your feet go -- This makes it *almost* impossible to tip over. Motion (and in newer models, steering) is controlled by leaning in the corresponding direction, just outside the range of perfectly-upright. It takes a little getting used to, but most people get the hang of it inside of an hour-long tutorial before taking them out on the road.

Yes, they do! This is also where they do the training session for the Segway tour around EPCOT.

one rule i know they have, and I have no idea how fit your family is, there is a weight limit of 250lbs if I remember correctly. I know I was unable to go on cause I was large and in charge.
