I love the little cottage in Fantasyland but is it best used as a stroller park - I heard there were rumours that it was going to be a restaurant at one point but I didn't think it would work being that close to columbia harbor house. Also in Tomorrowland I can't believe how much space is wasted there - surely that much space could be used to house a new ride or show - it seems to be very bare around that part of tomorrowland.

The skyway station in Tomorrowland is getting some work. Don't know exactly what it is (don't expect too much, though), but it should be done by the time Space Mountain re-opens. Also, the bathrooms connected to the station are gettin some remodeling done.

We just said on our last trip, we wish they would do something with Skyway stations, they've been empty for years!

I heard, but I don't remember from whom, that it was all being removed to open the view again, to and from the Contemporary. I am not sure how that works, maybe it was the station in Tomorrowland? Good grief, I wish I could remember now, but I know I heard it was coming down.
How long after that before it becomes another Piece of History pin?

The Fantasyland station is adorable! I asked my mom on their last visit if she remembered what the building was and she did, surprisingly.

The Fantasyland Skyway station (the chalet) fits in very nicely where it is. It also provides a shaded area for character meets. The charm of the station is kept even when it is not in use.
Its partner in Tomorrowland looks so out of place with it being vacant. It's only use seems to be as a waterfall and a roof for the restrooms located beneath. I don't think it would work as a character meeting area since it is so open. The crowds could be handled well through the queue area, but it just doesn't seem to be a workable area.
It would be nice if they were to remove the top off of the restrooms, open the view out to the Contemporary (through a few trees). From the TTA it would look nice (you get a hint of the view after passing by the loading area and before turning over CoP). The restrooms could stay, as they are needed, well placed, large and rather quiet most of the time.
Hopefully WDW will be improving by removing.

The Fantasyland station would make an excellent fairytale themed TS restaurant. What with CRT's intense popularity and the difficulty of dining there, MK needs another nicer TS place to take the heat off CRT and provide another TS dining option.

When I did the dining with an Imagineer thing in 2004, he said that his current project was a Buzz/Toy Story meet and greet for the Tomorrowland station, which was going to be redesigned to fit that theme. Apparently that got canceled at some point...
Putting another restaurant in Fantasyland would be interesting but it seems like it'd have to be pretty small to fit in that area, wouldn't it? I've seen it used at MNSSHP and MVMCP for meet and greets; seems like the easiest use for it would be to make a more permanent meetin' and greetin' point. Donald's Christmas Tree lot was really cute.
