I'm returning to Narcoossee's this summer after a few year's hiatus. I would love to know if anybody out there has been to Narcoossee's recently and could recommend great places to sit in the restaurant, great dishes, or any other tips?

We ate there at the end of last summer and enjoyed it very much. Great steak (beef) and lobster. Service was super!! As far as where to sit, I don't think there is a bad seat in there. We do like the upper tier a little better but they all seem to have a great view of the lagoon...

We like going at or near sunset...Just adds to the "magic"...

My family and I absolutely LOVE Narcoossee's! We've been in May '07, Oct. '07 and we'll be returning in about two weeks to celebrate my mom's 60th!

The food has been fantastic the two times we've been and like JPG said, I really don't think there's a bad seat in the house. We like to make our reservations for about an hour before the fireworks start, that way we can enjoy the fireworks oustide on the deck. The two times I went I had the fish and I believe my husband had the filet mignon. Excellent food and service! It's great to celebrate a special occaison too!

If you don't mind disneyMnG, can I also add a question on the attire at Narcoossee's? I'd love to try on our next trip but already getting dressed up one night for a wedding and would like to remain casual the other nights. Although, from what I've heard about this one it's a gem.

So, how casual can you get without looking like you're John Candy in Summer Rental?

Narcoossee's is casual. You don't see people super dressed up in there. But, you can't wear cut off shorts and a t-shirt. If guys where a polo and khakis you're good and the women can wear a nice top and some capris. You can also call when you make your ADR's and ask them, they'll give you the dress code.

Very disturbing visual reference there...When and if you do go (and you can go causal) the lobster, flounder and scallops are all superb...and try the artisan cheeses instead of a regular dessert.

Sounds like it was a great meal bdinger, thanks for the recap and info especially regarding the dress. I am the same way with only packing shorts so good to know it can be passed off with a polo shirt. We are going at the end of June so will be pretty darn hot. We are already attending a wedding one of the nights so I would like to avoid the need to wear pants again.

I'm going to try to get an ADR there when my husband and I go in December. I wonder what is the best time for an ADR so that we can see the Water Pagent after our meal? Does anyone have an idea when the Water Pagent runs in December?

I think it will be nice to look around in the Resort Hotels and see how they are decorated for Christmas. The Grand Floridian is supposed to have a gingerbread house. I'm sure the other resorts have cool stuff too.

Definitely looking forward to Narcoossee's.

This restaurant is awesome, we've dined here 3x's now! We usually celebrate a special occasion here.

I belive the water pageant is at 9. We usually try to time our dinner so we can see the water pageant and fireworks!!! You won't be disappointed! Enjoy!
