Where do I look to see what "special" events are going to be held at WDW in Sept. '09 and what their dates are. Since we canceled our trip in June because of g** Days, we want to make sure when we go in Sept. that there is not going to be something like that happen when we are there. I looked at Disney.com but it was kinda vague as to what was going to be happening in Sept. Are there other sites I should check out, before I plan dates?? Thanks in advance!

Actually it was Quickgold (moderator) and host of WDWToday podcast. I asked him and he sent me there, then I posted. Credit where credit is due.

Only problem I see of the bat with WDWinfo is they don't have the Volleyball tournament listed. It will be going on in June during the week I am there too. Wish it was college instead of high school......

thanks for the link Jacca5560!
I saw that Sept. they are going to have
Night of Joy, a contemporary Christian music festival, will be held on September 11-12, 2009, from 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. I would love to go to that. I think we are going to try to arrive on the 12th so that would be a great start to our trip!!

you can always check
the official page for any Disney-sponsored special events. any other separate "Group-sponsored" events (like Mousefest, g** Days, etc) will be viewable via All Ears, WDW Info, or my personal favorite -
Touring Plans. granted, they show only about 30 days out if you haven't bought their book or paid for a subscription, but it'll tell you things like expected crowd levels and special events going on, along with the best park to visit that day...

If you have an ipod or iphone there are now itunes applications you can put on them that will give you updates not only for what special events are on but also what rides are closed, hours the parks are open and which parks have emh's + maps and more. I've stocked my ipod up with wdw apps ready for my trip in a couple of weeks
