Here's what I had to say about a trip someone else was taking during a similar time of year:

Remember you can always wait for the cool of the evening when it's only about 95 degrees and 98% humidity. Did anybody tell you about looking for the Florida state bird? Remember to look for the rare mosquito. Florida abounds in theses delights and you should have no problem spotting them.

I think you get the idea.

I went to Florida on the 26th June last year, the weather got very hot throughout the day but if he just keep drinking then you will be fine, it did rain a bit as well but it didnt ruin the holiday, I was here til the 14th July and the weather was the same the whole time we were there. Also the queue's in the park were pretty short at this time of year compared to when we had gone before.

I've been to Disney in June July and August. I don't like to take my son out of school. Sure it gets hot. That is why many people recommend an afternoon break. Some days we took one at the pool or the water parks. Last July during out trip it rained every single day. A lot. Not that quick shower either. The days were not really super hot due to the rain.

I Love going to WDW no matter what time of year , but then again I am a rare breed I'm a Florida native  I am more scared to go in the winter when it gets down into the 50s and sometimes even the 30s at night!!! Honestly it is just up to your personal preference the summers in Florida are hot and muggy...but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else!!! :mickey: Living in Ft Lauderdale I'm just 200 miles from WDW :goofy_bounce:

We were there in June of '05. Very hot- 90's, humid and daily rain for about an hour or so. Usually when it rained it poured. We still have our Mickey rain ponchos we bought on that trip. A couple of hours after the rain stops you can't even tell it rained. Make sure to drink a lot of water as that will keep you hydrated.

The worst heat is usually in July and August, in my opinion. June is no picnic, though. As some other folks have mentioned, the normal summer weather pattern in Florida includes afternoon thunderstorms. I'm talking blinding, apocalyptic downpours here. I was caught in one a couple years back, and even though I had an umbrella I was still soaked from the neck down. So definitely bring rain gear, including one of those rubber rafts that you pull a cord to inflate.

All in all, you should have an enjoyable trip if you maintain a leisurely pace, allowing yourselves ample time to rest and hydrate. However, if you try to stick to a grueling, maniacal, four-parks-in-one-day pace, then you're pretty much doomed.

Have fun! :)

I really don't see why everyone is being so negative?!?! i actually worked there during the summer of 2001 and I never once dealt with mosquitos. yes it is hot, but what do you expect its summer time! The crowds are heavier, but that should be obvious, its summer time. The parks are also opened later in the summer time to compensate for the crowds, sometimes until 1am! Would i go during summer time? No, btu thats because I live 3 hour away and go in the fall winter when I am not as busy. Have I gone before, Yes, would I go again, ina heart beat. Your trip is what you make of it. If things dont go as planned adapt and make it your own. All in all have a great trip and remember, no matter when you go, or what you do always make it your own and have fun!

Just always have a water bottle handy, and find time to relax. A lot of times people go down on vacation and don't find time to relax but sometimes thats the most important part.
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

Rain upon that planet Earth. And they rain ... and rain ... and rain. The deluge.

If you can stand the heat and humidity it's a fun time to go. Yes, it will be busy and crowded.

I recommend taking ponchos/raincoats with you. When we went last year, it stormed good for about 2 hours. But we were prepared and when the worst of the rain was over we headed to MK from our room at All Star Music. We immediately went to some of the big rides (Splash Mountain) with very little wait (less than 10 minutes if I remember correctly). It seemed most people had given up on any chance of the rain letting up.

The main point is that there are usually late afternoon, early evening showers on most days during the summer. Not every day has them, but it is common. Get to the park early in the day (check out EMH) and if you don't mind getting little wet, GO FOR IT!!

I went mid to late June last year and the weather was great. It was hot, but not mid-July/August hot. The evenings were cool enough for a light jacket at times. I had gone on the 4th of July the previous year and it was WAY more tolerable going in late June than early July. Weird as that sounds...

I agree with the people who've said even late June is better than July/August (and early September). July & August are the roughest. Late June will be a little better humidity-wise than later summer. Plan for late afternoon thunderstorms, and keep them in mind when planning flights, if you're flying. Carry a water bottle. Have fun. :)

We have been in early June for the last several years for the Star Wars Weekends and it can be UGLY HOT at that time. You just have to resign yourself to the fact that it is going to be very hot and humid anytime June thru September. I would recommend starting the day early and taking a break during the hottest part of the afternoon.
