Got any Black Mollies in there Boilerbabe they are the real tank cleaners and the platys will be fine if they are in the tank normally.

Agingerbugg: when I read your post yesterday, and then re-read Mousekedude, it had me laughing so hard my eyes watered. I couldn't help but to keep it going...

Anyway, my cat wouldn't harm the fish because she doesn't like getting her paws wet. She would probably sit next to the tank and paw at the glass wishing she could get to them.

I had a cat who would open the lid to the fish tank, rest her paw just on the water and when the fish would come up (I assume thinking it was food) she would nab them and eat them.

It took me awhile to figure out what was happening to the fish, she never did it when I was home.

You know you are a WDW nut when you are planning how soon you can get back to WDW on the plane back from WDW with your 3 & 6 year olds sitting next to you making you nuts! and you have no money! and no prospect of more money! and your sister fought with your husband and mother the whole week!

When you can tell the difference between a regular non-Disney but and a future Disney transport bus that hasn't been Disneyfied yet.
We are all a little weird
And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

No, for some reason the only fish that do well in my tank are Tetras, I'm probably jinxing myself, but I've had the same fish for over 3 years now, I don't want to add anything...I'm afraid I will mess up a good thing!

You know you're a WDW nut when you place some of the large rocks in your tank in the shape of Mouse ears!

When we were shopping at the outlet mall yesterday, I mentioned how I disliked how many people were there, that it was just too crowded. Mom started laughing and I knew what she was laughing about ~ DisneyWorld on Thanksgiving will certainly bring far more people  But I told her, "That's different, we'll be at Disney!"

I figured as much. And where did you spot them?
