NOT Celebrating Birthday

So I got my email the other day reminding me, as the subject line said, "Your Final Disney Reminder - Free Admission on Your Birthday." And I realized I won't be there today, February 26th, my 45th birthday. So instead, I have decided that we are going to stay longer this summer when we go and I added two more days to our trip in July! I did salvage part of the day. I guess this means instead of turning to booze or drugs to treat my addiction I just spend more time at WDW.
And no, this is not a shameless plug to get birthday wishes. However, if you wish to send Disney dollars or any other Disney perks my way, I'll be happy to provide you an address.

Even so happy birthday! And since I realized you are going in July, what week and have you taken advantage of the Buy 4 get 3 free?

We didn't do the Buy 4, Get 3 deal. We already had tickets (Park hopper, never expire options) that we bought last year. Even though we could have spent about $2000 this year for the week we are going to be there, we opted for about half that price and decided to stay at Contemporary. I know we could have saved our tickets for next year's trip but we didn't have the extra $1k to spend this year.

Happy belated shameless birthday.
I'm in the same boat as you. I registered for my January birthday trip, and we had to cancel. So while I was pondering the sadness of
not going for my birthday after all, Disney rubbed salt in the wound by sending me the reminder email. They also sent me a DVC discount that week, and the week after they sent a PIN code. I guess they missed me, too.

We are scheduled for our trip 7/19 - 7/24. Our anniversary is actually 7/16 and when I called to change our reservation, they asked if I was celebrating anything. I mentioned our anniversary was the 16th. She asked how many years (15) and a few other things about our years together. I'm wondering if they are going to do something for us (flowers in our room, a special card or just a special mention of our anniversary) . . . . we'll see.
