It's a Small world question

Post by ronatie » Feb Tue 24, 2009 5:59 pm

I grew up in Florida but now I live in California. I've been going to Disneyland since I've lived here and probably haven't been to WDW in about 10 years. They recently revamped "It's a small world" in Disnelyland. Did they also do it in WDW?

If they did do the revamp in WDW too I wonder what the differences are between east and west coast versions?

For example I remember they added Israel to the countries featured in the ride in the WDW version...but not Disneyland. (depiciting a Jewish couple under a wedding canopy). Is it still there?

I know from the last time I was there, the canopy was still there along with the man. However, the female doll was MIA. I think it was out for repairs since there was still a place for it next to the man.

But I'm guessing from your answer that you haven't seen the newest revamp with the Disney characters added?

wdw did not get the overhaul that DL got. there are no disney charcters in the ride at wdw. when they did the refurb a few years back, it was all cosmetic. im glad that they left it alone and didnt add any unnessecary characters

Yeah I'm glad that version is still up too. I hope they leave it that way so that each version can be unique.

The version at WDW does not have the new characters in it!! I would love to see the one in DL just to see what it is like with the new characters, however I think I agree and they should keep the WDW the way it is.

The one in Disneyland is similar to the one they did in Tokyo, right? Didn't they add Disney characters to that one or am I mixing my Disney knowledge up...??
