Favorite Firework Show at WDW?!

Post by boilerbabe » Feb Mon 16, 2009 10:57 am

I did a search and didn't see anything on this topic! So which is your favorite nighttime/firework show at WDW? And why?

For me, it's Wishes at MK! Just something about being in the Magic Kingdom at night and watching the fabulous fireworks over the castle. I get all warm and fuzzy inside. It also makes me tear up!

We have only seen the Wishes show. We plan on seeing the firework shows at EPCOT and DHS this summer. Having seen Illuminations online I'm leaning in that direction. But, I'll wait until this summer.

Another vote for Wishes!! As the other poster mentioned there is just something completely magical and just surreal about standing in front of the castle at night and waiting for Jimminy Cricket to start the show!!! I love it...best nighttime combo ever Wishes/Spectro!

I voted Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. I like all of the fireworks but this one just like the best. i don't know why. It might be the music to it. :mickey:

Oh yes, I should add Spectro, that is awesome too! We always have to catch that one when we're there.

Ok, I don't know how to edit my own post, duh!!! How do I add Spectro?!

It's a really tough call. I voted wishes but I enjoy Illuminations tremendously and Fantasmic is awesome. It's a very close 1,2,3. Our first evening is always punctuated by wishes, the holiday is well and truly under way when the music starts
1980, 2000, 2005 and 2008 all had plenty of magic. Hoping for a bit more in 2010.

I know I'm in a minority, but I'm a huge Fantasmic fan. If WDW had the Remember fireworks show that Disneyland has, it would be a slam dunk!

I was torn between Fantasmic and IllumiNations. I chose IllumiNations because I love the score and the fireworks with it are just amazing. Since it started, I have always watched IllumiNations many more times than the others.

Wishes in MK does give you that magical feeling, but so does a victorious Mickey so I voted Fantasmic.

This is a tough one for me. I voted for Wishes since I think it is the best show. However, I really enjoy Fantasmic, and I currently have it's music stuck in my head.

This is as tough as picking your favorite ride. I love all the shows. Each is so unique and gives you that happy and joyful but sad feeling in your belly because you know the day and night are over.

But I went with Wishes. Something about being in the MK and looking up at the castle and hearing the music while the fireworks are going off. Magic at its finest.

This was a pretty easy one for me! My vote was cast for Wishes at MK. There are so many reasons why, but the biggest is that it's pure disney magic!

Illuminations. Only show in which I have not worked at the park it is at and I can see Wishes from my apartment (less than 1 mile away from where they are shot off).

Love Illuminations. Since we stay at the Boardwalk, we usually see it most nites we're there.
