Your Ideal WDW Vacation Length
What is the average length of your WDW vacation? For example: When we go, it's usually on a 5 day park hopper. This way we can hit each park for a full day and have an extra day to go back and catch things we missed or to ride our favorites again. We always go for 7 days so that enables us to have 2 extra days to just relax and explore other parts of the resort.

Our trips vary, but if we're just doing Disney (no cruise), we usually go for 6 nights/7 days. That gives us plenty of time to see everything without being rushed. On the 7th day, we hit whatever we want to see in the morning/early afternoon and then start heading home.

Our first trip in 2007 with my son we stayed for 6 nights but this year we could only afford the trip for 5 nights. I like to have time to go to the water parks. Now that we saw a lot in the last two trips we can probably take it easier for our next trip.

It depends for us. Its usually 2-3 days, 3-4 days, and if im lucky 4-5 days. We sometimes dont stay long cause we live 2 hours away so we go every year.

We typically do one trip a year for a week (7 or 8 nights). This year we are doing 2 trips but only for 4 nights each. Hmmm, not sure which is better, a full week vs. 2 shorter trips??? The nice thing about long trips is that you actually get to relax and get in full vacation mode but having 2 trips gives you shorter time between trips. There's probably a bunch of pros and cons for each.

Since I'm only a couple hours away, I get up there a few times a year so my average stay is get there friday around 12 and leave sometime late sunday afternoon. Best time was a couple years ago with friends, we spent a week camping at ft wilderness. just hopped around with no real plans, just whatever struck our fancy. With no structure, we never felt rushed or like we were missing something.

8 days is the perfect length for me. I found that 8 days is better than a week because it helped us to not rush and squeeze everything in. We were able to take it nice and slow.

I found that we used our extra day to go shopping and even explore off property like city walk at Universal.
