Subsonic Radio

Returned from WDW (mid Sept). Saw an awesome "warm up" group before Beauty and the Beast show (@ Hollywood Studios). 4 guys called Four for a Dollar sang acapella...... REALLY COOL stuff. Rumor has it they will be canned! Anyone been there recently? Is the group still performing? They were great.

I saw them in June. I also thought they were really good. I also heard they were being canned. I'm somewhat disappointed.

I read on the DIS boards that they will not longer be performing. I'm shocked that they are still there. DIS boards made it sound like they were gone already. maybe Disney got some feeback and decided to keep them?

I believe their last day was sometime late September when they made their other cuts (like Pocohontas, PI, etc)

That is too bad. I've seen them a couple of times, and I thought that they were really good. Singing acapella is not easy, but they did a great job. They were very funny and entertaining as well. A great way to wait for the show, since you have to get there early to get a good seat. Sorry to hear the news.

No way!! I would hate to see them go. They are so entertaining.

Bummer! Acapella is really awesome when done right, and these guys did it right! It's too bad I won't be able to see them when we go next time.

I wonder if this is just another cost-saving measure (probably), or if it is just time for a change?

Sometimes, we presume that change is being made to save money (and with Disney, that's probably the case). But occasionally change is made because a ride/ group/ show has lived its life and it is time for something new.

I doubt if "4 for a dollar" is replaced at the B&tB show, but perhaps something will be added somewhere else in the World.

Good point WVParkFan. Somethings just can't stay forever. Sometimes change is good. Maybe it was the band that decided that they had enough doing it? Who knows? Maybe it's a sign that BaTB Stage Show will get changed in the future? Who knows?
