Spaceship Earth Refurb?

I miss the old Spaceship Earth. What kind of refurb was that? Hey lets shut the ride down for a year and remove some stuff and not replace it with anything, that will be much better. 
What were they thinking? Instead of us looking at cool lights and stuff on the way down, it would be way more fun to just sit in the dark looking at nothing? Oh wait, I almost forgot we can watch the crappy computer showing us our bleak future filled with technological obsession, and empty consumerism. It doesn't even fit with the theme of the history of communication. Now there's no theme. You know what would have been better than looking at nothing, Anything! One of the golden rules should be that you always add to an attraction, never subtract. Who's responsible for this screw up I wonder? And whats up with the the black chick dressed up like a 70's Hooker? what, black women working in the computer industry in the 70's didn't wear appropriate professional attire? Everytime I see it it makes me laugh, its silly
