Let's see--- of course, Small World. Then there is classic Epcot:
"Imagination, imagination, a dream can be a dream come true......"
"Veggie, fruit, fruit........."
"Just make believe, you're a tiny little seed...."
"Making memories, making memories, taking pictures is making memories...."
Now that I scrapbook, I really get that last one stuck.

For me, it's without a doubt Put on Your Sunday Clothes. It is by far my favorite song from Walt Disney World.
Upon returning from Disney in '99 (our first trip), I immediately begain "researching" Disney sites. I found plenty of tribute sites, as well as Disney forums like this. I soon realized there were other Disney zealots just like me. On one fan's site, he had several 15-second RealMedia sound bytes from Main Street., U.S.A., and one was that song. No title. When I heard it I immediately called my wife over. "That's the song in my head!!!" Neither of us knew the title.
On subsequent trips back to WDW, we would always wait on Main Street until "My Song" came on. "Are you crying?" my wife would ask. It was just my favorite song and, for me, it embodied Main Street., U.S.A. I was so obsessed with that one song, I frequently asked CMs to come out of the store onto Main Street and listen to what was playing so they could tell me its name. No on knew what the song was called. I was forced to point my video camera at a speaker and record a "live" version for posterity. Unfortunately, the quality was terrible.
I had resigned myself that the only way I would hear my song was by taking trips back to WDW. In fact, I had convinced myself I preferred it that way. It made the song all that more special. Then, while watching Wall-E, I heard Put on Your Sunday Clothes, which was very prominent throughout the movie. I bought the soundtrack and learned its name at last. My 8-year mystery was over. It wasn't long after I found it here. I had finally caught my white whale.
In the winters, I keep much different hours than during my busy season, and therefore I'm up much later. When I can't sleep, I find myself here, checking to see if I can hear my song. I'm glad I can't hear it "On Demand," because that would take the fun out of things. When it is available for queueing, however, it is a real treat and it takes me right back to my very first trip. And yes, I still cry every time.

I've been thinking a lot about CoP lately...and for some reason the "original" WDW song has been stuck in my head: "Now is the time, now is the best time, now is the best time of your life. Life is a prize, live every minute, open your eyes and see how you win it..."
"Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring - it was peace." ~ Milan Kundera

I don't know if this is the right place to mention it, but I just read secondstar's posting. His favorite, "Put on your Sunday Clothes", which is played on mainstreet is not actually a Disney song. It is from the musical "Hello Dolly" and can be found on that soundtrack. I am sure that the movie recording has words on it, but maybe the full soundtrack recording has an instrumental version. Who knows? Then he could hear it any time he wanted.

Thanks for the info, purple figment. I couldn't find the instrumental version anywhere. I did locate the vocal version from "Hello Dolly" after I learned its name. I am still hopeful it is out there somewhere.purple figment wrote:I don't know if this is the right place to mention it, but I just read secondstar's posting. Yeah...I found myself humming and whistling the Innoventions Plaza Area Music on my last two trips to Epcot. It's just great music is what it is!

It's definitely my favorite across the board. It was where I worked when I worked for WDW, so it got stuck in my head, now I just can't get it out!!!
