From what I've seen, the scene is completely independent of the rotation. The scene just plays again and again without pause. After we finally start rotating again, sometimes it's in the middle of the scene, and so you'll miss the first half of the next scene after seeing the one you're on three and a half times. After it catches up, it starts rotating again correctly at the usual time - unless, of course, idiots start making their way to the door which stops the whole thing again.
So the show stops if people try to exit while the scene is playing?

I got stuck once in HM right under the little lady going "Come baaaaaaaaaaack". It was terrifying. Every time I went for a walk at night for months I thought I would see her floating towards me in the dark

From what I understand, opening any exit door triggers an emergency stop.
Hoping to go back to the Magic soon.

Agreed! I'm looking forward to having enough points to request it someday!
