Magical gathering???
Just wondering if anyone has stayed at one of the home away from home resorts at WDW? We are planning a trip in Dec. and had originally thought of staying at one of the value or moderates. There are 5 of us--2 adults and 3 kids--18 mos, 5 & 6. In the last month my parents have decided to join us on our journey, and have offered to have us stay at their DVC resort with them--sounds wonderful, right? Thing is, now they've also added my grandmother and step-sister to the list of "guests". Apparently, the DVC 2 bedroom suites sleep 10, but I imagine that would be tight...am I right? Are we better off staying separate and meeting up throughout the day? Or do the DVC's comfortably sleep 10, and should we just be gracious for the offer??? I'm completely on the fence!
Any thoughts/opinions much appreciated! Also, if we stay separate, any opinions on the best place to comfortably sleep 5??? Baby will be in portable crib...thanks! (I know I'm asking a lot)

Here is some info on both the two and three bedroom villas at Saratoga Springs. I have never stayed there, but had the chance to see during a dvc tour. Plenty of room, Grand villa sweet. Hope this helps.
The Two-Bedroom Villas provide an additional bedroom with a full bath and two queen-size beds. The two-bedroom villas accommodate eight adults plus one child under age 3 in a crib. The master suite has a king-size bed and private bath with a whirlpool tub. There is a fully equipped kitchen that includes a coffee maker, dinnerware, pots and pans, microwave, toaster, stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher. There is a stack-style washer and dryer, color cable television with DVD player in living room and a private balcony or porch. The master closet has a small safe for valuables.
The Grand Villa has two floors and will sleep 12. It is 2,113 square feet. Downstairs is the main entrance, two king size bed in the master bedroom, one queen-size sofa bed in the living room, TV/DVD, two bathrooms (one is a master bathroom with whirlpool tub), full kitchen, dining room and table with 12 chairs, laundry room with stacked washer and dryer. The Balcony (upstairs) has the 2nd and 3rd bedroom, both with two queen size beds. Two bathrooms are also located upstairs.

thanks!
Wow, thanks for the info! That helps tremendously...The grand suite sounds just perfect, if she's able to go the 3-bedroom route. Do you happen to know if Saratoga is the only resort to have the 3-bedroom? We were hoping to stay at Wilderness Lodge, a little closer to MK. Thanks, again

I figured the price would be outrageous! Wow, that's unreal. Well, my parents can use their DVC points to stay there, but I'm not sure they'd have enough for a whole week. Last time they used up all of their points for a week in a 2-bedroom. We haven't checked into that yet...thanks for the info.

The 2 BR are only $479.00, a lot more reasonable and most of those have a big pull-out couch. That's what I use to get over at old Key West. The master BR had a king, the 2nd BR had two full size beds, and a queen size pull out couch in the living room. It had a big kitchen which was nice in the mornings.
But when they went up on the price, I converted to getting multi rooms at the value resorts.
