Electrical Water Pageant

What is the music from the Water Pageant from? I only know bits and pieces of it....
I know that the dragon/water serpent has a song (can't remember the title) from Elliot's Dragon, I know the whale has the song Whale of a Tale, but I don't know where it's from. The octopus has one of the Little Mermaid's songs (something that Ursula sings), and the crocodile has a bit of a tune from Peter Pan (I think the pageant has a longer version than appears in the movie at all). King Triton has Under the Sea as his second tune, and the entire flag sequence is obvious. Otherwise, I have no idea what the music is or where it comes from. The dinosaur one seems familiar though.... Maybe we can make a list of what songs are played? Anyone?

As usual, the wiki delivers...mostly.

Some songs are missing, and they neglect to mention the arrangement in between the original and the current, which is the one I like best. It's available on subsonic, although the transitions are a little rushed and some music is missing. (Although I guess this could be an alternate edit to the one I know best.)

Anyway, it wouldn't be the wiki without omissions and mistakes.

Web 2.0, indeed.

Oh, we can do better than that, can't we? There has to be someone who knows the missing pieces. Anyone? Anyone familiar with old Disney classics?

Aw, this is one of my favorites and though I've remembered the whole pageant and have it on tape I'm totally blanking on a couple songs. I'm upset that Wikipedia has neglected to mention a couple songs, it would refresh my memory...

That was my favorite version also and my upload. I liked how they used the main theme again as the finale with all the individual float music underscoring it. I got it from someone who used it as the bgm for thier EWP picture slideshow on youtube. They only played the music for each section so long as they had pictures to display. When the pictures for a section ran out they spliced the music to go right to the next song and set of pictures.

The music from Pete's Dragon (I think) is called 'I love you too' I've never managed to catch this show but I am determined to do it on my next trip.

Ah, that explains that mystery.

I have a live version which is missing the first couple of notes (I guess as the guy flipped on his tape player) and has a little bit of crowd noise. It's also on magnetic tape and I have no way to digitize it, so I've never submitted it.

What do you mean, Captain? Can't you just run line level audio out of the tape player and into your PC's sound card?

Hmm. It could be that all I'm missing is the appropriate cable. I've got a giant box of random cables somewhere around here, maybe I could rig something up with enough converters to funnel the noise into my PC.

Worth looking into, thanks for the headkick.
