The rumor that the castle turrets can be removed for a hurricane always seemed so outlandish to me... yet SO MANY people believed it to be true. It was so widely believed to be true that they confirmed it was only a rumor on one of the travel channel shows.
Just how were they going to get a crane in there and unscrew them in a matter of a few days and then get the crane back out in time?

I've actually got a couple. One, that Walt is frozen and in a climate controlled environment beneath Cinderella Castle just waiting for technology to revive him (right next to Teddy Ballgame I guess).
And two, that years ago Walt was considering purchasing Edaville Railroad in Carver, MA and convert it into an east coast Disneyland. My dad worked at Edaville as a kid harvesting cranberries. He heard the rumor from several people but that's all it ever was. The second part of that was the reason he didn't purchase the property was he felt that he would not be able to attract people there year round b/c of the New England winter.

You beat me. I had a friend's husband (and educated guy, mind you) ask me this in total seriousness. It was hard to come up with a way to say no that didn't involve the word 'stupid'.kcarts wrote:I've actually got a couple. Next in line for me is the one about Snow White and the Seven Dwarves being an allegory for cocaine usage. People are strange.
