just look at some of the questions already in place without terrific answers. how's Expedition Everest going, what rides were down, what bathroom is the best/worst, etc... also, if you have pics of things, upload them so we can see. things we have yet to see... :D

edit: didn't see the post in the other topic that had the link to pictures... good stuff, and the illuminations came out great.

In regards to what was up/down, here's what I remember....

Closed:
Dumbo
Small World (Duh)
Philharmargic (Closed for better part of morning for one reason or another)

Open (of noteriety)
Carousel of Progess

For good and bad bathrooms, I'll take this opportunity to make a shameless plug to my site for good & bad bathrooms at MGM: http://www.mgmstudios.org/bathrooms.html

Haha, it's not shameless when you do it all the time (which I don't mind)

I'm hoping that will still be open for my trip in two weeks! *crosses fingers*

Stitch was open.

I feel it is a rip off for a lot of people who save up there money for that once in a life time trip, get there, and half the park is closed because it is off season.

I will be different when I get there and run the park.

Those closures are nothing - hardly the worst I've seen them pull off, a few years back I was in DL and literally at least 1 in 3 things were closed - we did a count on an extra map crossing off the closed attractions. That was extreme and it sounds like they have shaped up since then and are not closing everything at once and spacing it better.

They have to do the work sometime and it is logical to close stuff in the off season rather than the busy season for obvious reasons.

If you aren't giving them 100% of the park, you shouldn't charge 100% of the price.

Half the park? I hope you're joking. The closures were hardly noticable.

How in the heck would you do that sort of logisical work? Ok, this ride is closed and worth X amount of your ticket [though what if I feel it is worth more?], this other ride is worth Y, etc. and today we have this and that closed so your ticket price is Z, though in two days this ride opens again so the price changes... And each park is going to have to have different tickets then since each will cost a different price with different closures. Talk about confusing and a nightmare for just about everyone involved.

And yeah, half the park being closed had to have been stretching it...

Go in the summer time during peak season. Everything will be open. When you travel to Disney in the off season, that's the risk you run. Rides have to be fixed every now and then so you cant have it running year-round.

Personally, I'll trade a few closures for small crowds.

Without a doubt, fighting through crowds all day long is annoying.
