Rant-N-Rave Magic Kingdom: Mickey's ToonTown Fair

Recently there is a post about what attraction to remove from the Magic Kingdom. Lets narrow this down even further so we can vent our frustrations and/or applaud the Magic. make sure you keep this thread on track. there will be others to follow that will allow you to pick on areas outside of the focus...but for now keep it on task.

Disect Mickey's Toontown Fair, think back to all of the trips you have taken Take it all in with all of your senses and give us your opinion (thus no one is wrong) on what is perfect with this land? What would you change? What needs improvement? What needs to be left alone? What have you seen or heard that makes this section of the park special. share, complain, etc.

Good for little ones! Otherwise, not worth the time, although I do like Goofy's Barnstormer!

I thought it lacked street theme. I don't feel like i'm walking into a small cartoon town. thats what i want. perhaps its the crowds that take that away for me. Love the houses and little touches like the mailbox, fence, Minnie walk-thru. I think this part is an excellant idea for catering to the small ones. I wish they would add more ambiance when approaching ToonTown from Frontierland. Love the back path to Space Mountain. Overall its great but i would like to see one of those play towers like Six Flaggs has for kids..you know the ones where they net in 3 stories and have foam balls shooting everywhere, slides etc... pure madness...pure genius

Hmm I gave this one a two. I don't fit the age group obviously that would love Toon Town so it has no real appeal to me. I don't know the last time I was even there. I went to Disneyland's Toon Town back in November for like the first time in 10 years and it was nice. I only went because it was Christmastime and I wanted to see what the atmosphere was. I think for little kids though it's perfect.

Ok, we spent time here when our kids were little. At 13 and 10 (by the next time we go) I can't see us spending any time here at all except that it does have a nice and big gift shop where you can find a lot of things in one place that you might not find anywhere else in the MK. Thinking back I can't believe how long we spent in line at the Judges Tent to see and get a picture of Mickey with the kids. If you really wanna see the Mouse, book a breakfast at Chef Mickey's!

I don't even look at the entrance. I do think that if it's someone's first time to WDW you should stop by and check it out but for someone who's already been to Mickey and Minnie's house, who cares??

I voted 0. Unless you are a small child this area is a waste. Re do this whole area with a D or E attraction. Maybe the Indiana Jones Temple of the Forbidden Eye like at DLC!?

I am not a big fan of this area but it definitly is good for the little ones. Plenty of stuff for kids to run around and touch. For adults it can be really boring. I agree with croaker though, it doesn't feel like any kind of Toon Town really.

Too bad they can't have like a tunnel you have to walk through first to cross into Toon Town, ala Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

The Barn Stormer is fun though. But I agree... check it out once, then avoid it after that.

It was originally designed as a temporary thing, and in that context it was a nice extra. Now that it's become permanent without much improvement, it surely must be the worst land in any Castle-based park.

Possibly the best place in the park to meet the characters. Not Mickey or Minnie but lots of the others seem to appear there very frequently and because there arn't many people there the lines are short.

Nobody should miss Barnstormer. This "my first coaster" is a mighty gem.

OK there isn't much there for most people in this forum. Thats because most of us arn't 5 anymore. I do think it is the weakest area of the park. It still isn't awful.

When our son was younger (5-8) he loved it. He would have spent all day there if we had let him. Now that he's older not so much.

I'll always enjoy going through Mickey's house, though.

Agree, with one caveat: It's a decent stop-off with small kids to let them have a few attractions geared solely toward them. Other than that, I walk right by the entrance to this "land" (and "land" is a loose term).
