Happy Birthday Animal Kingdom!
It turned the big 1-0 today. Wow they grow up so quickly.
I celebrated with a ride on Everest and Dinosaur tonight. The park seemed packed but the lines were 10 min. or less.
Happy Birthday.

It feels like yesterday I was a small kid and my parents were showing me this is where the new theme park is being built! I am surprised Disney has made little/no mention of it.

Happy Birthday Animal Kingdom!!
It sure has gotten to be such a better park than when it first opened. I hope the next ten years it will get even better. What do you think of the parks past present and future? And I want to know if you all think Walt would be happy with Animal Kingdom.

I think Walt would be thrilled with the Animal Kingdom. He certainly tried to bring the experience of nature to his viewers through many of the movies. And, of course, the Jungle Cruise and the Tiki Birds exposed Southern Californians (and later, Floridians) to exotic animals.
I think Walk would be amazed at the technological advances that have allowed his company to have REAL animals, while also maintaining a theme park.
The AK is our family's favorite park. I hope it continues to grow and become even more spectacular.

I just found this article about AK's 10th Birthday and it looks like they did have a celebration of some sorts:
