Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot

When we arrived at Epcot last month, we were surprised to find that the Flower and Garden Festival was taking place. Such wonderful topiaries! But the best part was just the overall beauty of the flower beds, the trees, the grass, and the brilliant colors of spring in central Florida. Coming from the cold northeast, it was wonderful. Worth the trip to WDW, just to see the Flower and Garden Festival.

I'll be in Disney again next month and this will be the first time that I will be able to see the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot. I am actually very excited for it as I've seen plenty of pictures of the topiaries all over the internet and some of them look wonderful!

As with all of the truly "special" things at Disney, you've got to stop and take the time to really appreciate the Flower and Garden Festival. It really isn't "over the top," and most people don't even notice all of the subtle flower gardens.

Each country in WS has beautiful flower gardens, too. So, even though many of the topiaries are in Future World, make sure you go into some of the countries and see the beautiful gardens.

We have been to the flower festival several times and it is always worth the trip. It is even nicer now that our 2 boys can go off and do their own thing and my wife and I can just take our time and enjoy.

I love the Flower and Garden Festival!!! I've been there twice for it. I'm an avid gardner, so I spent a lot of time appreciating the beauty of the artwork on display. My favorite was the year they did Beauty and the Beast (2001?). Truly amazing. Glad you got to see it WVParkFan!!

Its really nice this year, and they even went farther by adding a great soundtrack in the entrance and also between Mexico and Canada.

beach Boys + Elvis + Surf Rock + 60s hits = *insert huge smile*

We'll be "home " next month and EPCOT is our favorate. Between the music and the flowers it will be grand. Also without Packwing running us ragged we'll have more time to enjoy.
:?: Its funny Pack you never seemed interested before becoming a CP.

I have always wanted to go to some of the special events that Epcot and MK put on like the Flower and Garden festival or the Pirate and Princess Party but I always feel like they're going on during peak season or when it's unbearably hot...glad you liked it!

All but one of our trips to WDW has been during the F&GF. The other one simply won't be repeated - it was an October trip. The Halloween stuff was cool, but nothing is quite like the overall atmosphere and general fresh, spring smell of all the flowers in Epcot! *sigh*

Ah, I love the Flower and Garden Festival and always get a t-shirt when I'm there for it. It really adds to an already beautiful park. It is events like this that keep up the interest and appeal for those of us that are regular park visitors. Other favorites for me would be the Food and Wine Festival and the MNSSHP. Good times! :mickey:

most special events @ epcot require some investment in time. e.g. not for theme park commandos.....the butterfly garden, talks, or just the flowers etc.

My husband and I caught the Flower and Garden show by accident when we were there last May and we LOVED it! It was so beautiful! I wouldl highly recommend picking up the guide and checking everything out! The butterfly pavilion was really cool. It's a must see!

Do they do this festival every year as it was on last year when we went in May? It was really beautiful particularly with all the topiaries!

Yup. This is the 15th year, and they keep expanding it too (it runs March - June this year). Epcot at it's prettiest. :)
