We just found out that our son's High School Marching Band will be marching in a parade at the MK next spring. We don't know the details yet, but my wife and I have already decided that we're going to take our daughter to WDW that week and see our son in the parade.

Have any of you ever been to see your son/ daughter perform in a parade at WDW?

That's reall cool. I don't have a daughter or son old enough (yet) to be in a marching band. I didn't know they still had HS bands in any of the parades. I did march in the bicentenial parade back in 1975 when I was in HS.

I performed in my H.S. band in 2000 and 2002. I also performed with the singing angles at epcot in 2001. The bands perform before the afternoon parades, then also before the evening parades as part of Disney's Magic Music Days Program. It's truly an experiance to perfom at WDW. My sis was in the 2003 rose parade and also performed at Disneyland that trip with our H.S. band.

That sounds great! Our son's marching band will also be performing at the Macy's parade in 2009, so we're really looking forward to a couple of wonderful years!

Congradulations WVParkfan and to your son too...it takes a lot of teamwork to reach that level. My sis was in a marching band and it was lot of fun to watch even though most of her competitions were in October and it was freezing sitting on those bleachers. Have a great time!
