I was listening to the local station in the rental yesterday, and apparently while on line for the tea cups, two womenn slugged it out over being cut in line!! One strangled the other with a lanyard apparently and now the lady who got beat up is complaining of all sorts of neurological problems. I'm telling you, I really don't get what is wrong with people, YOU ARE IN DISNEY, YOU ARE ON VACATION, CHILL OUT!!!
If there is anything wrong with disney lately it is that anyone can afford to get in and there is really the dregs of the earth ALL OVER the place. Disney really has made me hate people!!

wow thats pretty ridiculous! One time we cut the line for small world by accident because it continued past where the actual end of the queue was and a lady got nasty with us and my mom was just like what a witch(we didnt do it on purpose!) and we moved to the actual back of the line and the lady came back and slapped my mom! My mom was realy upset so we then complained to customer service and got free one day passes, so at least Disney made up for it

It's great that Disney gave you free passes for that. If you think about it, this was a situation that Disney had no control over, yet they gave compensation anyways.

On a related theme, British Airways has banned Naomi Campbell. Why? Because they are afraid that she will terrorize passengers who will then turn around and sue BA. Last week she spit on a police officer after her luggage didn't make it to Heathrow with her (CLEARLY this woman needs a wakeup call.)
I think Disney should start thinking about doing the same thing. I was impressed and congratulated Disney on throwing out all the guests who where with those Pop Warner teams who caused a problem last year.
The guests are just that you are a GUEST of the mouse behave like it. Ultimately, WDW is private property and they can pretty much eject/ban anyone they want (there are a few reasons they can't use, like skin color) but if you are causing an issue that is valid.
Reminds me of one cruise we where on there where some kids who where on the ship OUT OF CONTROL. After 4 days on the ship the next port the whole family was escorted off.
I really want to see people to understand there are consequences to there actions.

I suspect this is the story you are relating.
Orlando Sentinel Story
Sounds like there was a fight but they are mostly trying to get money out of Disney.
Allen noted that she wrote about planning to seek damages from Walker in a statement to the Sheriff's Office, said in a sworn statement that she was considering taking legal action against Walt Disney World, and hired a private attorney shortly after the incident.

Thank you Cap396...personal responsibility is something no one believes in anymore so it's nice to see a post about it

I believe this is the same incident, actually. The attack happened last year but the trial just started recently (the article jcodirewolf linked is about the trial, anyhoo - maybe there are multiple attacks going on and I'm out of the loop

).
I can understand being tense on your Disney vacation, actually, especially if you're in ParkCommando mode, but there's really no excuse for bludgeoning someone because they're gonna get into a tea cup ahead of you...

Unfortunately, confrontation is one of those things that we can't completely rid ourselves of - it's a rather human thing.
I agree completely with jcodirewolf's first post: Disney maintains private parks, and everyone should have to play by Disney's rules. I know I'm starting to sound like my parents here, but I'm sure the lady who was doing the choking would not appreciate any one of her house guests starting a fight in her living room.

I might pay extra for a special pass that gives you comfortable seating arrangements and a clear view of regularly scheduled catfights. Maybe they could have a special "Princess Breakfast".

Hey, there's an idea for the re-purposing of Discovery Island - Disney Fight Club. It could be like the American Idol 'attraction', where you round up all the really angry people in the parks who were in the Test Track standby line when the ride went down or couldn't get into Le Cellier for lunch and let them duke it out for a night in the castle. I think you're onto something.
Heck, let me stand outside the Laugh Floor and glare at the sign for a while and maybe I'll participate.

In light of American Idol coming to Disney, I hope Disney doesn't read that!!
