Wow - it's been that long?

I'll be sure to take a look for those posts, thanks!

Can anybody tell me what happened to it?
I believe nothing OFFICIAL has ever been released by Disney but sensible speculation dictates it had everything to do with the quality of the water, Proximity to the lake and the ability for less than nice animals to swim with you.

Typhoon Lagoon. Being from the north, I can't imagine going on vacation to a place themed to remind me of home!! Brrr.... As far as kids, I've taken my daughters to TL many times with no complaints. They're kids!!! Give 'em some sand, some water, a few slides.... they're good to go!

it's been closed down for a few years now. I believe they shut it down due to the parasites in the water of Bay Lake (all of the Central Florida water), which is the water that was used in the park.

We really love Typhoon Lagoon. The wave pool is amazing, and young children seemed to be enjoying it. The lazy river that flows around the park seemed longer than the one at Blizzard Beach, and that's a favorite. I have to say though, the large family raft ride at BB was really great.

I really wish I had my scanner working. A friend of mine and I were backstage over at River Country when I was working at WDW, and I took a picture of a pen of chickens they had with a sign on it saying "Virus Study." We found it amusing.

I would love to go sometime to both of these. I have been to WDW six times and have never been to the water parks.

I like typhoon better because of the wave pool but both water parks get the job done well

I've only been to Typhoon Lagoon but I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The sand; the beach huts; everything. It really transports you to another place.

I thought the slides were very good, (and this was BEFORE "Crushin' Gusher.") And I liked the food, as well.

I've only been to Typhoon Lagoon and I loved it. I got to that thing were you snorkel across the water with the fishies which was fun. The rides were also fun. I've never been to BB so I can't speak on that but Typhoon Lagoon was a lot of fun.

I've been to both several times, but TL gets the nod if I'm picking one. It has a more laid back feel to it, and I'm partial to it since I went to it shortly after it's opening.

I like Blizzard Beach better just because on a hot day, just seeing it makes you a little cooler

Attendance. At least that is what I've heard.

Anyway. I like both the water parks. Each has their pros and cons, but whichever you go to, you will definitely have a lot of fun!
