It might, no guarantee, be in previews this month. December travelers be on the lookout!

I heard this one too. Trying not to get my hopes up yet, but it sounded like it could be soft/test opening when I'm there. I'll definitely be making routine sweeps past the entrance while we're at Epcot, anyway. *fingers crossed*

Thanks for the links acp and the rumor AKLRULZ! That gives me hope for my January trip to Epcot. I'm still going to be so sad if I don't get to see Spaceship Earth during Epcot's 25th birthday!
According to acp's articles, Dame Judi Dench will be narrating the new ride. I'm having trouble placing her voice, so I guess I'll wait and see.

Judi is very well known to us Brits.
SSE will not be as enjoyable for me if it is her talking all the way through.
It's kind of like having your Mom do the narration. She may be just great but it is going to lack a certain.............something.
If it is open by Jan then thats just

Does anyone know if there will be a special preview for passholders like they do for new rides? I wouldn't imagine there would be seeing as it is right in plain view when you first walk in. No t to mention that the ride isn't really brand new! Just curious if anyone has heard any rumors?

What does it usually look like when rides have AP/DVC previews? Do they put a sign or have somebody stand out front? Is it usually an all day event? If this rumor turns out to be true this will be the first time we'll be there for a ride preview.

I hope it will be open over christmas break! The only bad part is that I guess when im at EPCOT I will be swinging by the front of the park about every 45 min. to see if its open!

i heard people were waiting a while for it the past couple days and sometimes it didn't open. Its completely randomn as to when the ride will allow people on for soft previews. Sometimes it might close realtively soon and reopen. Who knows.....

Videos are up already!

I've only watched enough to see from the new load area to the cavemen scene. From what I see it looks as if they're trying to keep the classic feel of the ride. Also, I think all the AAs are now as life like as Jack Sparrow (at least the cavemen were). Two thumbs up

.
I might
listen to bits and pieces of it later just to get a feel for the new soundtrack.

edit: ok... i couldn't resist and I watched the descent as well
IMO, without giving anything away, those touch screens that we were all looking forward to end up being the attraction's downfall.
It's time to get out the torches and pitchforks

I just got back from WDW and the time I was in EPCOT SSE was not open. Talking with one of the cast members they had opened it for an hour the day before (Thursday). Hate that I missed it on this trip
