when you get zoomed in on what you want hit the aerial tab on the pages tool bar :o

maps.live.com is a good one. Try "Bird's Eye View" and you can see the parks from the North, South, East and West. Nice feature.

It's closed.

According to Wikipedia, the source of all internet wisdom, it closed in 2001.

since I usually go to DL in CA I don't keep up with the WDW parks. That's pretty said that it's closed. Hope they do something with that area and not let it remain like that!

That's the only thing Disney is good at these days...

edit: Wow... I was in a real pessimistic mood when I typed this. Sorry, hehe.

I'd be surprised if they re-did anything in the River Country area in the near future, as much as I'd like to see something there. I don't think the cost of redoing everything would be worth the payoff though, since they'd have to make it contained and free from lake water, and probably replace all the wooden elements and the whole bit. It'd be a pretty big undertaking. You can get a few good looks at it if you take the boat from the MK or WL to Fort Wilderness though. It definitely looks 'wild' now.

I won't let my 2DS'S use it for school work since I found out anybody can make changes.

Funny (or sad?) sidenote to that: When I was a teaching assistant for 1st year college course a couple years back, they had 'online homework submission', where students entered their answers in text boxes and submitted that way. The number of people, people at a prestigious university, no less, who thought they could get away with just cut and pasting answers from Wiki was staggering. And kinda funny because we'd all search wikipedia for the topic before we started marking and any cut and pasters got an automatic zero (unless they cited sources, which no one ever did). Made the job easier.

Any idea what the big thing under construction just to the east of the Caribbean Beach Resort is? Looks like a new hotel.

I'm not sure which is which, but there's the Wyndham Bonnet Creek Hotel, and the Hilton Bonnet Creek Hotel, and a Fairfield (I think - or is that part of the Wyndham ... they have the same address) in there on the little spit of land Disney was never able to buy. It's a shame too, because the trees between them and the CBR aren't thick enough to hide it - at least, they weren't last time I was there when all those resorts were being built. It really puts a dent in CBR's theming.
