We ate there yesterday, I'd put up about 60 photos. Similar, but different styling. The monorail kids meal was the best part, I think - and we just had to admire that from afar!

From what I can tell, it's at the Japan Pavilion over at Epcot.

There's some photos here:

Yes, that is my site. :) I found you all when you came in about my Epcot 25 photos, but I didn't want to be too tacky and post the site without being asked.

Thanks for doing it for me! Teppan Edo is where Teppanyaki was. The updated Teppan Edo is very similar as far as food, much more stylish, and the monorail kids meal dishes kick butt! The Tokyo Dining area is very, very nice as well. That is a new addition to the restaurant. If you want sushi and such, that is where you'd go (though Teppan Edo does have some sushi).

I've only eaten at the Teppanyaki restaurant once, and it was all right. It was weird having even my meat dipped in tempura batter.

The Tokyo Dining Area sounds interesting.

They are both very stylish. I don't know what tempura batter is!

Oh, it's what the shrimp, veggies and some meat are fried in. The food ends up lightly coated and crispy-it's good!

Is the menu similar or have they changed it since it was closed for the remodel?

I have photos up of the menu, but Teppan Edo is similar to Teppanyaki food wise. The main difference to me is the atmosphere.

Thanks on the info on Tempura. I don't think I've ever had that!

The photo with the bullet train meal has shrimp tempura, just in case you wanted to see what I was talking about.

Oh, I got it now! I haven't ever tried tempura. Just the items on the grill. Thanks!

For those of us a little out of the loop as far as WDW dining, is this the sit down restaurant then?

I have photos up at the link mentioned above (at mousesteps.com), but here is a photo of the kids meal that looks like it's in a monorail (though I guess it's really a Japanese Bullet Train, but same thing to me! :))

The restaurant is in the same place, owned by the same company as before. Just a new name, with a new large dining room, new atmosphere, updated menus and such.
