Star Tours Update?

I searched for this topic without luck, but I'm sure I read of it somewhere so stop me if this has already been discussed.
Is Star Tours going to get an update or is that just a hopeful rumor? It doesn't really affect me because that sort of ride makes me deathly ill, but I'd be interested to hear about it.
I know they're making Jedi Training permanent - what exactly is that?
I just watched Episodes IV, V and VI in their entireity for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed them all. Personally, I think they should add a Cantina to the area with crazy alien musicians!

From the sounds of the DCA update, that the Star Tours update is part of the money allocation but nothing is official yet!

I think this ride could use an update. Keep the same concept just make it more 2007+... It's very 80's

Ahh rumors, rumors, rumors...
From what I have read they are talking to Lucas about Star Tours 2.0 and also trying to court him to have a major presence in MGM...

Yeah an update would be nice, I think its been the same show since it has opened.

IF they update it, my only request to the Powers That Be is that the theming remains "Original Trilogy"... I don't want to be flying around Prequel-style fighters and stuff... give me X-Wings, TIE Fighters, and Star Destroyers!

Yeah Me too, But I think if they are going to update it they are probably going to use the "newer" actors and such for the show...

I agree. I was seriously miffed when I saw the new ending to Episode VI. What's with the lame CGI and no more Ewok song?!

darn right, the ending is horrible, what was Lucas thinking????!?!?!?! Even though the characters are all out during the star wars weekends, i think they should have them come out more during the rest of the year as well.
