I'm not sure I like it. I'm not one that's good with change though. I think some things Disney should leave alone. The Contemporary is a classic Disney resort, it was one of the firsts. I think they should leave it as is...but that's jut me. :mickey:

I guess I don't mind these changes as much as the fact that they're trying to make the rest of the Contemporary truly contemporary! I guess that's silly, but I loved the mod look of the original. I think it will be tough to keep it contemporary looking without changing the whole decor every few years.

What would that be? A shop?

That doesn't look too bad. It looks like a shop with mickeys at the entrances... It actually reminds me of the cotemporary logo with the mickey silhouette in front of the A-frame.

I wonder if it'll have sundry items, or just more plush dolls.

I lilke its looks, though. Something I just noticed, Mickey's ears are elliptical, and not perfect circles. I did not know that...

This would mean that there is one less place to eat in this resort........Hmmm sounds like they just want the money again. Pay fewer CM and get more cash in the door. When will it end. Granted it looks nice, but they could just make the current restaurant better looking.

I think it looks pretty cool. I assume the shop underneath the monorail will remain there in some capacity. With all of the re-arranging they are doing in the Contemporary, it will really be different. Restaurants moving, arcade moving, North Wing demolished.........

Does anyone know what they're doing with the section of the Comtemporary that was demolished?! We saw that when we were there in May.

Is it on the restaurant end, or the end where they used to have the pin kiosk between the other two shops? I've never been able to figure it out from the concept sketches. I actually prefer this to the stupid kiosk thing, if it is on the end I'm thinking of.

I believe the leading rumor is more DVC suites. Anyone heard anything 'officially' announced on that?

Yes it will be the DVC for the Contemporary.

As for the new interior designs, its a group of shops with a mall feel. At least that is what one CM told some guest when I was there in April.

I think it fits the Contemporary feel. It is modern. Contemporary is an odd bird... and not easy to theme. I'll have to check it out when its complete, to get a feel for the scale, and feel.

It's on the end where the pin kiosk was located, between the shops on either side of the concourse (or as Jack Wagner would say, "The Grand Canyon Concourse"). :D

Oh okay. That I don't mind then, as (as I said up there somewhere) I didn't like the look of that kiosk anyway. I'll be interested to see it in person, especially if they put some more Contemporary-specific merchandise in (or increase the amount in the other shop on its 'right').

Then My Bad. I saw it and thought it was the North end, but I guess it is the South end.
