Has anyone ever taken the Keys to the Kingdom Tour at the Magic Kingdom? It was a few hundred dollar tour that takes you behind the scenes for a day at MK; I don't have any idea if its still offered.

Mum and I always wanted to do that tour, but we haven't been back to actually do so. Anyone here ever do it? Was it cool?

I've never taken the tour, but have heard a lot of good things. Hopefully someday I can scrape together enough money. Someone on the site used to be a guide of that tour, but I haven't seen him around here for awhile.

I have taken the Keys to the Kingdom tour twice because I couldn't remember everything they told us the first time around! We try and go to Disney World 3-4 times per year (we live in Canada) and thought that we had noticed every detail in the Magic Kingdom - we were wrong. Both tours pointed out details that we had never noticed! I would highly recommend the tour. :mickey:

I love, love, love this tour. I thought I knew everything about the Magic Kingdom boy was I wrong. Be aware, it is alot of walking, and depending on the tour guide and the size of the group it can be pretty fast paced. I've done the tour twice the first time felt like a sprint but we saw alot. The second tour was different, more talking and stories from the host and less go here and go there. Don't get me wrong I liked both experiences but I like things at a slower pace.

I highly recommend this tour!! -- tory

It's a great tour - I think it's about $60 though, and worth it! 8)

I haven't personally taken that tour, but my in-laws have and raved about it. They said it was worth every penny.

From the the way they talked about it I would strongly recommend it.

Hi Casrin: There are two tours that you may be thinking about. The Keys to the Kingdom tour takes place only in the Magic Kingdom. I believe the cost is about $60.00. The tour is approximately 4 to 5 hours in length and includes lunch. This is a fun tour and you will learn about several of the attractions, some history of the magic kingdom and you will go backstage in several areas! It's a lot of fun and very informative.

The other tour you may be thinking of is the Backstage Magic Tour. This tour starts at Epcot, moves to MGM and then goes onto the Magic Kingdom. The cost of this tour is $199.00. (20% off for Disney visa holders). This is an great tour depending on your host. I have taken the tour twice and I enjoyed it much more the first time in 2006. Last year I took the tour again with a friend and I did not find the CM as informative. During this tour you will visit an attraction in Epcot (America) and visit many backstage areas in Epcot and MGM. You will visit the flower shop, central services and my most favorite place the Christmas and holiday building!. This tour is truely amazing and is for people who really want to know how things work at WDW.

this tour was ok. When I marched in my high school band at disney I had a better glimse of back stage if you are into that kind of thing. On the tour you only spend a few min. behind spash mountain and in the utilidor... Just ask all the questions you can because the guide has to answer or will get you an answer

I only found out about these tours when I got back to the UK. When I next go to WDW I would consider them, but I am worried that knowing some of the secrets will spoil the magic for me.

I was worried about that, too, Guy - but overall KTTK just enhanced the Disney experience for me. Another layer so to speak. :mickey:

You wont be sorry, Guy. We took it on our last morning there. LOVED it, and it was a great way to close out our visit.

Does it cover all the parks in WDW are just MK? Also, how do you go about booking it?

Guy, KTTK covers just the Magic Kingdom and you can book it by calling 1-407-WDW-TOUR (1-407-939-8687). If you're using a travel agent they should be able to book it for you, too.

Hope you're able to enjoy it on your next visit!

Ohhh okay. As usual my info is way out-dated. "Back in the day," they just had one mega tour that was 8 hours or so that was like $300/person or something.

Thanks for the updated info!
