I remember reading about a shop in DTD that sells everything for $10 or less. Does anyone know the name of this shop and what kinds of merchandise they have?

Contrary to what Croaker says, it does exist. It's called Mickey's Mart. It's located over near the Rainforest Cafe end of Downtown Disney. They have a selection of allsorts in there, all less than $10. You can get keychains, stuffed characters and various little "gift" things in there.

They sell a "surprise" white paper bag for $6. You never know what you could get inside. It usually has a few PVC figurines, keychain, trading card, etc. We always get a few for my wife's nieces and nephews, that keeps them entertained for a while at queues.

Is it still there? Our kids like the surprise bags. I remember they went for different prices.

Thanks! I have a Rubbermaid tub in my closet that I keep small knick knacks, paperbacks, toys, etc. as rewards for DS and DD. I should be able to get some neat things there for the "being good bucket" as they call it.

It was most certainly there when I was in November last year. It's still listed on the website, so I'd guess it is.

It's a fun little place to browse through. Not really a store, mind you, but more like a bunch of barrels in an alleyway. i'm sure there are doors that can be shut but that's the theming they give it. A lot of what you find in there is the same price as you'd find over at World of Disney (i.e., keychains, pencils, etc) but you can find some really great stuff now and again that's been discontinued or whatever. It's definitely worth checking out and a fun place to go.

Just my opinion, but I think it's mainly junk. Think Dollar Store/Dollar Tree with a Disney overlay.

If you want real bargains go to the Disney Character outlet store in the mall across the street from the Bass Pro shop on international drive. It has discontinued stuff from the parks at rock bottom prices.

My DW got a nice sleeveless Mickey Polo top in Jan for only $10
Like most have said, they sell small items that didn't seem like a great deal. I think you can find some deals if you dig for them.

We've been to DTD dozens of times. Never been in Mickey Mart. I guess I have to check it out next time. Thanks!
