Has anyone been on a "Magical Gathering" at WDW? My family (including my parents) is going down this fall and it turns out my Aunt and Uncle and cousins are going down also so we qualify for a MG. They said that there were several exclusive things set aside for large groups such as a Disney Wishes Cruise (where you go on a boat out on the lagoon and see the Water Pageant up close and then park outside of the MK and watch Wishes. You get to meet Peter Pan when you get back) and Breakfast at Tony's with reserved seating at Mickey's Philharmagic. Has anyone done either of these? What is your opinion?

Our family went down in Oct of 2006. There were 24 of us and we stayed at All Star Music. We did the Grand Gathering Safari. One family of 5 did not partake in it. All the others really enjoyed it. The safari was good as our family had our own truck. The food was excellent. It had an African theme to it and was great. There was African music by some entertainers. Characters were there for meet and greet. They brought some small animals to touch and pet. A souvenir pin was given to each of us. Every one that did this would do it again.

That sounds great! Thanks for sharing. They told me that with a magical gathering you get more personal attention from the characters than you usually would.
They did not mention anything about the Safari but I will have to check into it and see if it is available. Our group will have 5 children so I think the animals would be a BIG hit!
