For all you cast members past and present:
When you have a very rough day, week, month of guests being rude and ruining the spirit of Disney, where did/do you go? or What did/do you do to Re-energize that Spirit in yourself.
I like to Go watch people watching Wishes, stand in the star tunnel at Space Mountain, watch Fantasmic, or watch the American Adventure.

Hmm. I'm not sure what I did. It certainly did get to a point where I was having really bad days, but something always happened to make it better, or I would just try and forget it.
Most times, I would text message my roommates on my "breaks", and get back to work. Then later, after receiving a kind or encouraging reply, I would feel a lot better.
Although, sometimes I would see people experiencing "magic", and that image would last me for a bit.
Otherwise I would just complain to someone, and I would feel better afterwards.

Haha! I agree. It seems that the nightly complain sessions my roommates and I had always seemed to do it. When all was said and done, I'd go back to work the next day and it was back to being at Disney.

Personally, I tended to put the "difficult" guests to the back of my mind for the time being and carry on with what I was doing. Often, the happy and more excited guests that followed would cancel it out.
Of course, it also helps to talk to other CM friends when not working and compare stories of silly/difficult guests to not only see who has the funniest/silliest story, but also to help you to remember that it isn't only you who has to deal with those situations...
Most of the time, you tend to forget about them after a few minutes.. Usually when you do a "magical moment" and make another guest happy and smiley

Shall we start with the woman who threatened me with being held "personally responsible" if her kid dies, or the one who asked me "What time does it stop raining?"

LOL..

Maybe she thought that even the rain was part of the 'show' - but somehow I doubt it.

Well, I suppose the guests are the entertainment to an extent.

I've never in my life seen more stupidity than during my time as a CM. I could ramble for hours on the dumb things guests did. Some of my favorite were the people who wanted to know "where that big castle-thing" was.

I can equal that.
Working on the ice cream stand just in front of the Tower of Terror.. I was asked where the Tower of Terror was. I just looked at the guest, looked at the tower next to me, looked back at the guest, pointed towards the entrance and said "Just over there, sir."
Let's not forget the guests who come up to you and ask.. "Excuse me, what park are we in?"

Yeah. That's happened to me. It's like, "how did you even get
in?
I mean, you take the bus, or drive your car to the entrance. The entrance, I'm pretty dang sure has the name of the place you're heading toward.

I like to go print out a bunch of fast passes and hand them out all around the park and see people smile and thank me that always helped me feel better.... but if I didn't do that then there was always enjoying a corn dog meal and watching goofy's sports over at Caseys on main street.

Okay, well another thing is to strike a conversation with a guest. Talking to guests and making them laugh to brighten their day would usually brighten mine as well.
