That's a great idea! I think the technology is such that making a change like that won't be such a major challenge in the future. Change the movie and reprogram the syncronization with the ride, new smells... I think you're on to something they should definitely pursue in the future.Barb D wrote:Since WDW is more international it would have been great to have Soarin over America. They could show case things like the Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore and Washington DC or skiing in the Colorado Rockies. It would be the same show but more diverse show.

That is really a great idea. They definitely have the technology to do that. That would be neat to see. You should send in the idea to Disney.

Soarin queue video here.http://mousetimes.com/media/wdw/soarin_queue.wmv
Re: Soarin'
Wasn't Soarin' part of that celebration that took attractions from one park and added them to another? I think the car stunt show at MGM was originally in Paris? But yeah, it would be way cool for Disney to make another version of Soarin' although Florida is pretty darn flat. Not much to soar over here!G2-4T wrote:So I'm curious if anyone else feels they took the cheap route by copying DCA's Soarin' over CA for the new Soarin' in The Land. I was hoping they would make an all new video for this one. The other one is terrific - but why not use the chance to add another great ride rather than just copy? I know - it is easier, cheaper, etc. but it'd still be neat to have done something new...

Soarin' was part of the Happiest Celebration On Earth celebrating Disneyland's 50th, along with Cinderellabration (from Tokyo), Lights, Motors, Action (from Paris), and Expedition Everest (an original, based loosely on Disneyland's Matterhorn) which was opened in the middle of the celebration.

Do you happen to know which other rides and attractions went where?
