I was wondering everyone's thoughts about WDW doing away with the old Diamond Horseshoe Review and replacing it with a Disney character review/interactive show? (I realize this happened a while back) I heard somewhere it was the longest running stageshow in the country--why would they do away with it?? I guess the show itself could have used a little "updating", but it's really a classic I will always miss:(

From what I hear it was taken out due to slightly decreasing attendance. While they werent performing to empty crowds or anything but they also werent packed to the gills and the performers they had their were apparently very expensive. Yet another budget cut back

Gosh, I remember when you used to have to get to Town Hall first thing in the morning to get a reservation for Diamond Horseshoe Review. It was a great spot to have lunch and cool down in the middle of summer and see a good show, too.

It is similar to the Hoop Dee Doo Review at Fort Wilderness Campground. If you miss it that much, go see the HDD. I see it every time we go. It is lots of fun

I've seen both! Hoop de Doo is nice once or twice (though my parents go EVERY YEAR), I remember the DHR from when I was a kid. My brother got called up onstage and it was a HOOT! I remember that I laughed a WHOLE bunch!

Yeah, I remember having to go to Town Hall and making reservations when I was a kid. I guess It's just another former Disney attraction that will only live in memories.
Don't they have enough Character meets stuff?

Yes I too remember having to get reservations, but it was one reason we only did the Hoop Dee Doo once when I was a kid because we could see this cool show for free. I was there last week and was kind of depressed that the show was gone.
