Once I turned 31 I started my treks to Walt Disney World. I have been there 21 times. I live in Michigan. When the 'ex' was still with us he would drive us to FL. We generally rode for 17 hours. The only stops were for gas, rest rooms and food. We did this in a 1978 Bronco without a/c. But, we were going to see Mickey Mouse and Figment so we didn't care.

...and our last trip was in 2000.
We need a way to take doggy and not have to kennel him and still be able to go there.

Be sure to stay on Disney property. It is worth anything extra it might cost. We learned the hard way, as we used to stay out on hotel row. I believe it was Highway 192.

I only been to Walt Disney World once. I liked it a lot, but I still like Disneyland CA a little better.
I am planning to go back to Walt Disney World on it's 50th anniversary.

We definitely like the intimate size of Disneyland, Borjoyzee. It just felt powerful knowing that WALT had been there, you know?

My family and I have been 16 times. We drive ten to twelve hours. (About one hours less since the new road was built.) Also we only stop for restroom, gas, food, & lottery tickets.

The furthest I've ever traveled from Disney would be from Illinois.
I honestly can't tell you how many times I have gone to the Disney World. Living only an hour away I've driven my wife crazy at how many times we've gone. I even made her buy us season passes. But my trips to Disney World have been dying out due to cost, even living an hour away.

I just turned 21 last month, and I've been to WDW 27 times.
Average trip is at least a week long, but more likely 10 days.
I'm going again at the end of this month and I'm doing the college program for almost 5 months.
The most people I've ever travelled there with (besides my senior trip in HS) was 21...all on the autotrain, all in the same house. Another time all 28 of us were there, but not in the same house.
and I travel from New Jersey, about 1,000 miles...I've only flown once (senior trip) and I've taken the autotrain once...which is from DC to about an hour east of Disney.
Other than that...its been driving. First in cars, then more recently in an RV...which is a LOT better.

The only way to do that is to take a camper and stay at Forw Wilderness. They have a fairly good number of pet loops where you can have your pet there with you. To do this you must be in a solid wall camper (no pets in tent campers) or motorhome and you need to return to your campsite a couple of times during the day to walk your pet.
I've been many times since 1973, least once a year since 76 (with few exceptions) and as many as 4 times a year, and I have never stayed at a WDW hotel. With the exception of my first trip in 73 and one other in 01, where I stayed off site with other family members, I have always stayed at FW. I like to have my "own" bed to sleep in and the atmosphere there is extremely relaxing.
I travel there from Columbus, OH which is about 950 miles and I always drive pulling the camper. It's rare when I stay less than 7 days.

Oh that's interesting, Gonzo. I didn't know that and never thought of Fort Wilderness.
I was thinking more like how Oprah Winfrey gets to bring her two dogs to the Grand Floridian and stay in a suite. How come her dogs don't go to the WDW kennel?
