in Ocala. Fla? Beings we drive to WDW most of the time and we would look forward to stopping in Ocala to take a rest and visit the Disney center and most of the time we would get whatever tickets we needed in advance. Last time thru Ocala I thought I missed the exit but coming home I made it a point to look for the visitor stop and could not find it. Did i just miss it or is it gone?

We use to do the same thing. It was like a pre-view.We would listen for that Disney information radio station for a contest for free stuff. Once tuned in, we would know that we were gett'n close to exit 350. We had looked forward to that stop every trip. We would "push it" to be there before closeing time. Then eat at the Cracker Barrel. That place has been closed for a couple of years now. It happened just about the same time Disney closed a few of their "Disnet Stores" around the country. Just wasn't Proffitable to them.
(Wow, THANK YOU for the trip down memory lane)

That stinks that it is closed. I owe getting to stay at the Contemporary to that place. Deeply discounted room rates for available rooms readily available. Back when "something was better than nothing" for Disney.
We typically fly, so that isn't normally an option, but I did like it when we did.

Disney closed it. I have also heard that Disney also stop distributing brochures to the local area discount ticket shops. Maybe a FLA local can confirm this.

I'm not sure about the ticket shops (I suspect that is true)
I do know Disney stopped distributing them to Hotel/Motels in the area. Either people are heading to Disney or they aren't. I can see what Disney is thinking with all the signs, GPS systems, and Google maps why distribute them? Plus Disney is now A destination, they aren't trying to get people traveling from Ohio to see the grandparents in Florida to stop for a day any more.
On the other hand Disney is still putting the in the Turnpike rest areas at least.
