Tower of Terror Celebration Friday the 13th

Has anyone else heard about this? It looks like AP holders are invited to celebrate the 13th anniversary of WDW's Tower of Terror in a special after hours event on Friday July 13th. Someone from Subsonic needs to go and fill us all in on the party!

I was there the first year the TOT opened. They used to do just 1 long drop, not the multiple short and long drops they do now. I like the new style better.

Yeah, well it makes waiting in a 60 minute line more worthwhile for the multiple drops then just the one drop.

There was a large write up about the birtday in the Eyes and Ears. Not much mentioned about the celebration.

As an AP holder I too got an invite. It didn't REALLY sound like that great of a "Disney" Party.
As I recall (I think I've got the invite at home some place) the park is going to be held open late for AP/DVC members and that is pretty much it.

That's too bad. I was really hoping they'd open up the lobby and have a big band dance like they did at the Tip Top Club in the movie. Not that I could go, but it was fun to imagine.

Today I signed up for the Tower of Terror 13k race that happens in October at nighttime. I am not running but I plan on walking the 8 miles. I will report how that goes when that happens.
