It's definitely one of those things that I'd like to see a clip of the video quality before spending the money on... :?

You might try going through http://www.relivethemagic.com
I went through them, and they are wonderful! There is also an option to preview select clips on the website so you can "try before you buy".

Thanks for the link. I was looking for something for my family and I to preview before our trip to see what we want to do when we get there, but I don't want to buy a dvd I can't see quality on either!

To plan for your trip, aside from all the other websites on the net, check out the Disney site, and order their Free Vacation Planning DVD. Not only does it point out all the must see attractions, but everything else that you can do around the resort.

Wouldn't those DVDs ruin the trip? Going on the rides probably wouldn't be as much fun if the video of them was watched fifty times. Yes? No?

You can see almost any attraction on YouTube, but the Vacation Planning DVD is the way to go. As far as ruining the trip I don't think thats possible. Being there is so much different than a video. I'm sure Disney feels that there dvd makes people want to go to the parks even more!!

I think this would be great for attractions of the past. A nostalgic revisit of Alien Encounter, Horizons, World of Motion, etc.

This site will probably interest you. I haven't purchased anything because I know once I start buying discs, it'll be at least a few hundred dollars before I stop.

A little off-topic, but I'm disappointed in the way the DVD planning videos are made. IMO, they're "boring" compared with the ones that were produced in the early-mid 90s.

Maybe I'm just weird. :|

I have the PM disc from Extinct Attractions [we hope to have some of those tracks on the Peoplemover site soon - they're helping the project!] and have to say it is an excellent two-disc set. Lots of retro footage in both ride-thru and recap "thru the years" style. Plus some of the imagineers talk about the ride, the engineering, the plans/history, etc. Very neat.

I'm sort of like Schnemo though, if I start in on buy a lot them it will be really hard to stop!

I would disagree with that. I have quite a few going back to 1993 and the production is so much better now. The HCOE dvd was very entertaining and gave you multiple options of how you would like to view it. Something they couldn't do in the video tape era.
