Finding Nemo Show

Post by AKLRULZ » Mar Fri 30, 2007 2:12 pm

Whoa! Make sure you see this show on your next visit to DAK - get there early because it is standing room only if you're late - but it's an amazing show. Never thought I'd say it - but better than Tarzan and way better than FOTLK! Even bought the soundtrack on CD!

Wow you did like it. Not to say I didn't like it. It is a wonderful show. And I will say it is better than Tarzan Rocks! I would put it on par with the FotLK, I don't know I would say it's outright better.

When we went we got LUCKY. I was at MK and saw all the press, so I stopped a CM who looked like he know what was going on. Turns out we where at MK when they did the press day for the Living Seas with Nemo and friends. We talked to him for a few minutes and he asked if we had seen the Nemo Show at AK yet. We told him we had been twice since it Soft Opened, and hadn't managed to make it in yet :(

He said well he was a manager for the show, and when would we like to see it? We told him when we where planning on being at AK the next day, and he got on his Blackberry and added us to the VIP list. Very cool first row center above the walkway.

While I liked the Finding Nemo Musical, I don't know if I loved it. The production as a whole was cool and the props were imaginative. It was good. But I don't know, I thought the songs were just all right. To me, they weren't catchy enough.

I only saw the show one time, so maybe another viewing is necessary.

this show is so much better than the festival of the Lion King. The amount of detail that went into props instead of just reusing old disneyland floats. Recreating an entire story in 30 minutes instead of watching tumble monkeys that weren't in the movie. Creating songs based on the movie rather than having a sing along of new versions of old songs.

Now don't get me wrong FotLK is a good show. The songs are amazing, I love the tumble monkeys, the floats are very well put together. But the Finding Nemo Musical is on a whole new level. Its the first of many shows like itself to come I believe.

Exactly. Nemo is Broadway caliber. FOTLK, while great, is theme park level.

This show was outstanding. I'm a theatre techie in my spare time, so the set and puppetry amazed me. I was a little concerned that seeing the puppeteers would be distracting, but it really added to the show. The special effects were so fun and I adored the seagulls at the end. It will be another big draw for Animal Kingdom!
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

make sure you get in line about 1 hour to 45 minutes early...the show fills up fast...the line will wind into dinoland. The line really depends on the crowd though. If you are going at Easter, maybe hour and a half. If you are waiting till late April, then 30 minutes. When choosing a seat, I like to sit just above the entry walkway. The pit is ok, you are closer, but you get to see more from further back. If you sit up by the stage though, the actors will greet some guests after the show on their exit.

My DD3 is a HUGE fan of Nemo. In fact, when she was only 7 months old, we were in Toys R Us and she starting kicking and screaming "Mo, mo, mo." It turns out, she was pointing at a large Nemo poster and trying to call him. It was the first thing she actually told us she liked. Needless to say, her first birthday was Nemo themed.

But I'm off the point. DW and I can't wait to take her to see this show!!!

I couldn't look past the people, but I got front row for the show. I would definatley tell you to see it, better than Tarzan.
