Question about the EWP. Does anyone know what the opening and closing tracks are in their musical sequence? The rest are easy to identify and I've heard the others but for the life of me can't place them and it drives me nuts when I hear those elsewhere in the parks, etc. Just heard one of them in the DL-Tomorrowland-Space Mtn-Horizons track.

Side question - does anyone have a copy of their schedule for all resorts? Just wondering what order they travel... Thanks for any help!

I missed the EWP on our last trip down in December. wish I could've gotten it on tape. oh well, next time...

Here's the general guideline:

Polynesian Resort -- 9 p.m.
Grand Floridian -- 9:15 p.m.
Wilderness Lodge -- 9:35 p.m.
Fort Wilderness -- 9:45 p.m.
Contemporary Resort -- 10:05 p.m.
Magic Kingdom -- 10:20 p.m. (only during extended MK park
hours)

It's great to watch from your balcony at any of the above resorts - we've seen it from our room from all but the Poly as we just seemed to always miss it for some reason or another.

I haven't seen the EWP since my honeymoon. Its a must see for on my March trip!

Just another reason I am going to love staying at Wilderness Lodge!

The opening song before the floats begin to light up is King Triton's theme from the Little Mermaid and the song it plays after it's done is the music heard when Arial visits Prince Eric's boat. (Fireworks is the title I think)

Do you mean the opening sequence with Elliot the dragon? Or the opening sequence before the lights come on? If you do mean Elliot, that's a song from Pete's Dragon called Boo Bop Bopbop Bop (I Love You, Too). I'm not sure what the song is before that. I think I'd better hurry myself down to warm sunny Florida to find out!

Hm, I saw this parade once.. I was on the MK Ferry on the way back to the TTC and we had to wait for it to pass before we could go across the lake.

I've watched it w a tropical drink from the WLV beach. Very private and romantic. Watched it from a GF public balcony, w a cool cosmo.
We, DH and I don't go w little ones anymore. We do really fun, romantic, food and drink trips now. Cure the empty nest syndrome till the grandkids get old enough to take.

I always wanted to catch this parade, but never saw the whole thing. I know it's nothing real special, but still...someday!

The original music (or at least the version from the late 70s to 80s) was some of my favorite Disney music ever. I have an old cassette tape of it, but no way to digitize it.

The original song is definitely the fanfare from the Little Mermaid, as well as Poor Unfortunate Souls plays when the octopus appears. What played before the Little Mermaid came out though? I can't seem to remember.

The water pagent is a classic! Every evening, my family and I will eat at Ohana's at the Polynesian and then at 9 we'll go out on the man-made beach, relax and watch the "parade". Sometimes we'll even catch Tinkerbell descending from the castle. it's pretty cool.

Wow! Didn't realize the original used Baroque hoedown also. Can't beleive I don't remember that!

I caught it randomally one day waiting for the bus...Is it always on every day even during the slow periods?

It's become a new favorite of mine to go to the Polynesian, grab a hammock, and watch the EWP go by right before the fireworks begin. In some ways, it's better than being actually in the park. You get to sit on a white sand beach with no crowds, and the enjoy the show.

As far as I know, it runs everday. One of the few original things left at WDW!
