I'm staying at the BWI in two months - it's the only Disney Deluxe property I've never stayed at so I'd love any tips or impressions from folks who've been there before.
Love this area of the resort and looking forward to trying BWI out. 8)

I stayed there this past December and enjoyed it quite a bit. It's my favorite resort. My only tip is remember you can walk from there to either Epcot or the Disney-MGM Studios so take advantage of staying there by walking (avoiding the bus) or take the boat.

I would agree with QuickGold. I loved the resort and you can't beat being that close to two of the parks. It is one of my favorite resorts!
The bakery there is very good.

I concur with the other comments. We stayed at the Villa section, but it was still great to walk to either park. There's a nice pool in the Villa area that probably isn't as crowded as the main one. However you probably have to sneak in as it is for Vacation Club guests. There's some nice eateries around there in case you don't want to eat in the sometimes crowded parks.

Gotta agree 110% here... Our favorite place to stay is the Boardwalk Villas.. GREAT RESTURANTS right there or at Beech and Yacht..
You've got Spoodles, Big River, Yachtmans steakhouse, Cape May Cafe (GREAT SEAFOOD AND STEAK BUFFET!!!!), Beechees and Creme, and the awesome Boardwalk Bakery.
At night there is always cool stuff going on around the boardwalk and a couple cool clubs.. The dueling piano's club is really neat.
I think the boardwalk has some of the best theming of any resort as well.
Also the walking distance to my two favorite parks and to the Canada Pavilion (home of the best restuarant at Disney Le Cellier) really makes it great.
You will fall in love and never want to stay anywhere else.

Thanks gang - we've stayed across the lake at YC and BC quite a lot and agree it's really the single best location in all of Disney. We tooled around the BW area, but I've only been in the lobby at Christmas so I'm really looking forward to experiencing this resort.
THANKS!

It's so liberating being able to walk to and from Epcot and the Studios and I just love the ambiance of the Boardwalk area in general, so it's an easy pick for my favorite.

I have stayed at the Boardwalk on a couple of occassions, for both business and pleasure....It is great...my kids love the pool, and the access to Epcot can't be beat.....especially for the Beers Around the World!

My only gripe about BW was that our room was down at the end behind the ESPN club and the only way in and out was a LONG walk to the center lobby. The end stairwells were not open from the outside. This was when the hotel first opened so maybe it's better, but my advice would be to ask for a room closer to the middle of the building.

I've experienced that. My last stay there in December, our room was a bit of a hike down a long hallway. Not the end of the world, but once I did the walk a few times it got old. Definitely ask for a room close to the lobby.

This is my favorite resort (and I really liked all the resorts in which we've stayed). I loved taking the walks to both Epcot and Disney-MGM.
Here's a nice tip: try to schedule a character breakfast in Epcot before the park opens. That way, you can enter from the International Gateway and have an excellent opportunity for some spectatular pictures free from crowds.
Also, I think the food options are the best at this resort. And, right across Crescent Lake you can hit the Yachtsman Steakhouse or Goofy's Beach Bash character breakfast. There's also a crab feast (although I haven't tried it yet).
If you can, get an upper room with a water view. You won't be disappointed!!! One evening, DW and I brought back some pizza (excellent) and sat on our balcony admiring the view. This is one spectatular resort.

Never stayed at the Boardwalk either. But my wife and I have been there while touring the Resorts one day. Amazing Resort. And I absolutely love the fact that you can walk to MGM and EPCOT. For people like My wife and I who love walking, it's quite treat.
And wow there's once club there we got in for free. Can't think of the name of it. It's almost always near empty and free to get in. And the music is GREAT! I think it's one of those secret places that people don't know too much about!

Boardwalk is my parents' DVC home resort, so we have stayed there the most. We've got a 2BR villa in December, and I can't wait. I love the fact that it's so close to Epcot and MGM, plus you've got all the stuff on the boardwalk to do after the parks have closed.

My husband and I stayed at BWI for the first time this past May. Really loved the atmosphere, but our only complaint was that there was no restaurant area. It was tough to fill our mugs too.
It's great being able to walk to MGM and EPCOT. You're within walking distance of the mini golf too. You can't beat the location! Poly is still our favorite though!!!
