Attraction Rankings: Magic Kingdom
Thought it would be interesting to see other people's rankings.
Rate the attractions of the Magic Kingdom by your own criteria. You can rank any or all attractions, whatever you want and however you want. Just make a list.
As I started the topic, I'll bite the bullet. . .
Splash Mountain
Space Mountain
Mickey's Philharmagic
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
The Haunted Mansion
Pirates of the Caribbean
Tomorrowland Transit Authority
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
The Jungle Cruise
Peter Pan's Flight
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Astro Orbiter
Magic Carpets of Aladdin
Cinderella's Golden Carousel
Goofy's Barnstormer
it's a small world
Swiss Family Treehouse
Tom Sawyer's Island
Carousel of Progress
The Hall of Presidents
Liberty Square Riverboat
Country Bear Jamboree
Dumbo the Flying Elephant
Stitch's Great Escape
The Enchanted Tiki Room Under New Management
Excellent attraction that should be experienced more than once.
Great attraction that you have to do at least once.
Good attraction that you should try and do, but don't worry too much if you don't make it.
Decent attraction that you should do if you have a chance, but shouldn't go out of your way to do.
Horrible attraction that should be avoided at all costs.
Based on enjoyment, theme, wait time, queue enjoyment and area relevence.

I think I have to disagree dude.
Country bears needs more the 2 stars.. Its a super classic attraction that only exists at WDW now.
Small world only getting 3 stars?
Tiki Room even under new mangement should be 5 stars.. For gods sake TIki room was walts first foray into animatronics! CLASSIC
COP should be 4 stars as well. Other then that I am gclose to agreement.
I am a classic fan though I guess. The history is really interesting to me.
Ill have to make my entire list know soon I guess. Unfortunetly my son desires my attention at this time.

Have you been to Under New Management? It's a rape of the original attraction, I would think a classic fan would hate it even more. And it's a bad show standing on its own.addlema wrote:I think I have to disagree dude.

Btw Aladdin isn't No Rating it's a 0/5. It's an eyesore to AL, and just another Dumbo ripoff with nothing special other than spitting camels...so I guess it's a ripoff of One Fish Two Fish at IOA which is a ripoff of Dumbo. Disney has Dumbo (which is very classic), Astro Orbiter (which is classic, but better off a better view and pretty) and no Aladdin which is out of place in a jungle themed land. They also have flying triceratops at AK...the imagination well running dry or what? Anytime they need a new attraction to add to a map/brochure they stick a playground or a spinning flying ride down...awesome.

I don't think it's lame at all, but I see what you're saying. I definately love DL's more.spaulo wrote:Until you ride Disneyland's PotC, and realize that what the MK has out in Florida is a pretty lame (and significantly shorter) copy.meticulus9 wrote:pirates more than needs 4 stars. its simplely one of the classics that will never wear out its welcome
My thing with alot of these attractions is that I went to the parks almost every day for five months, and part of my ranking is based on re-ridablity. Even though I worked there, I never got tired of the Mansion. I could always ride Splash Mountain.
Pirates I love, and as a guest it was one of the rides that I would go to first and be most excited about it. BUT it takes a slight hit just based on the fact that I got tired of it.

Well the PotC in DL is better, but the one in WDW is still great. I also have to disagree about HM in DL being better, as WDW has the library scene and I like the New England facade (maybe I'm bias) facade much better than the Southern facade. The Southern facade may be creepy, but I think the New England theme is much creepier and spooky. And I'd have given PP a 5 but it's so short That's why most of my FL picks suffered from being 5's.indysoarin19 wrote:MrToadWildRider's rankings are pretty dead on...except POTC and HM...DL's versions are better. Peter Pan in Florida is a 5 star and in CA a 3 or 4. Much, much easier to ride it in Florida than in Cali (thank goodness for Fastpass)

Currently everyone I know thinks the DL Mansion is better right now just because of the updates. If WDW would ever get a freakin' refurbishment, I'd agree, but DL has managed to surpass it recently. At least that's what I hear, the last time I was at DL was 3 years ago.Mr.ToadWildRider wrote:Well the PotC in DL is better, but the one in WDW is still great.
