For me it's Mara at the Animal Kingdom Lodge - it's amazing! Tons of offerings including the soups and salads that are often served at Boma - and you can get Zebra Domes there, also a Boma delicacy. It's also quite large and able to accomodate a lot of diners at once.

That sounds lovely! We've eaten at Boma, and the food is fantastic! Since PO Riverside is our "home" resort, that's the counter service that we have most experience with, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's OK when you've just arrived "home" after a long day at the parks, but otherwise, its not really special. The breakfasts have a little extra Southern flair that we enjoy; it's because of PO Riverside that my Minnesota family discovered (and became addicted to) biscuits and gravy!

We love ABC Commisary at MGM. It is never too crowded and the CMs have always been polite

Flame Tree Barbeque at Animal Kingdom. You get corn and baked beans along with your delicious pulled bbq sandwich. Grab extra bbq sauce and napkins, and then head down to the farthest tables you can find, and sit along the water. You can watch people screaming down Expedition Everest while you wipe the delicious sauce off your chin. Especially good on a somewhat colder, rainy day. :D

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm... BBQ and Corn Bread.... Nothing better! Makes my mouth water just thinking of it! I'll have to add it to the December itinerary!

Well wait, if we're talking favorite counter service places outside of the resorts then I'm all over Flame Tree - they've got great BBQ and huge portions!
