Disney Dining Plan now available to use for In Room Private Dining.
TWO table service credits may be used for Private in Room Dining :
Juice (breakfast)
Appetizer (lunch and dinner)
Entrée
Desserts (lunch & dinner)
Non-alcoholic beverage
Single serving portions only.
For me, two credits seems like a lot to burn on in room dining when compared with what 2 credits will get you at the signature dining establishments.

It provides meals as an inclusive part or the MYW packages:
From WDWIG:
One table-service meal (including appetizer, entree, dessert, or full buffet, non-alcoholic beverage, and gratuity/service charge; dessert not available at breakfast)
One counter service meal (including entree/combo meal, dessert, and non-alcoholic beverage; dessert not available at breakfast)
One snack -- As of May 2006, most snack items under $4 are eligible for the dining plan snack credit. Eligible snacks will be indicated on the menu with a Dining Plan symbol.

I guess that's a cool idea. I mean, after the heat and a long day, eating in your the quiet privacy of your room must be nice.

One way I could see using it is on your last day if you were leaving early and still had a couple of unused credits to burn up.
