I don't know where I'll be yet, other than that I should be in one of the theme parks (as oppose to the resorts).

I'll keep you updated!

Congrats. Keep us posted as you find out where you're working and all that fun stuff.

The story so far...

Post by acp » Aug Fri 04, 2006 2:06 pm

Well as a quick bring you up to today sort of thing...

I applied originally back in March, and had a phone interview for the Cultural Representative Program, after which they said they could put me on the list to be considered for an additional program from September to November. I'll hear in October whether I've got an interview in London for the Cultural Representative Program. On Tuesday I had a phone interview with a blokey at WDW, during which he offered me a place on the program. I'll be doing Quick Service Food and Beverage in one of the parks, although I don't know which/where yet. I should get a phone call next week with more info.

Well like SysFail said "I will be stopping by to see you, and I expect free beer and food, for my entire visit..." So let us know which one when you know and I will make it a point to stop by your food station.

Congratts! I understand why you won't give out freebies. So what about gifts? I figure you'll get a discount, so what are you buying for everyone?

Quick update: I've now got an appointment at the US Embassy in London to get my Visa sorted for working in Florida, and I've been told that I should get some stuff through the post over the coming days about the program at WDW.

I always thought being a cast member would be so cool, but was always worried about the Disney thing becomming tiring if I was there everyday. You'll have to let us know how it affects you.
Please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle until the ride comes to a full and complete stop. Thank you, and enjoy the rest of your day here at Walt Disney World.

Heh! I'll try ;)

I'm in the process of setting up a section of my website for updates, etc.. Don't know how well it'll work, but the thought is there! It'll be at http://www.andrewpoole.org.uk/disney/ when it's done, but for now whilst I'm testing with it, it'll be at http://www.andrewpoole.org.uk/disney-test/ (I'll move it nearer the time that I go)).

foldmama: If your visit is before the 10th of November, I'll still be there :)

This is essentially a free 3 month vacation to WDW because on all your days off you're going to go to the parks with a free pass.

Congrats!

We expect many pictures/video/audio etc. 8)
